Mai is about the sweetest old woman you could meet. Her family helps her run it and you can always tell when she is back in the kitchen, because it is just that much better! The Kanom Jeeb is my favorite and I have never been able to get it anywhere else! Even if you don't like Thai food or... More

Don't let the building fool you, this is one of the best places in town to get a bite to eat. Mai's Thai is my go to place for bringing out of town guests. The ginger chicken is a personal favorite but I have never had anything that wasn't great!

The staff seemed upset that we walked in the restaurant. Lots of yelling between the staff and owner(?). The food was questionable quality and we did experience some gastrointestinal issues a few hours later. For the quanity of food the prices were high.

Was told to sit, then move. Server took order, then forgot and had to ask again. I said I was in a hurry. Didn't matter. Owner was rude also. Left without getting food. Simply Thai has a better ambience and service. Won't go back to Mai's Thai ever again.

I had a delicious meal, great tasting, good portions. But terrible service, Hostess were rude, and not up to beat, made us feel very uncomfortable and lacking in all areas. The ONLY reason I would go back is to get carry-out because of the terrible service.

Food is always good. My business partner and I eat there at least monthly and the food is very consistent, large portions and real Thai flavor. The atmosphere is not too much to brag about but for an inexpensive lunch or dinner...this place is great!

Great Thai Food. In a world of quick and cheap. Mai's Thai is a pleasant surprise. Don't expect a buffet of cheap steam table items that probably came out of a bag. I eat here probably once a week and am never disappointed.

Mai's Thai is good food. We felt like the tables and chairs were a bit greasy... did NOT seem "unhealthy" not clean, but we weren't comfortable. Might do carry out, but didn't want to eat in.

My wife & I were visiting the Louisville area and found this place while looking around the area. We both love Thai so we gave it a try for lunch. I wish I could remember the names of dishes, but since just about every Thai restaurant has different names for everything except PadThai it's hard. I had a beef selection... More

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nothing extravagant. The restaurant is very hot with just two ceiling fans runnin on low speed. No air conditioning during 75 degree temperature. The decor is very authentic with various photos from their trip back to Thailand embedded in the table, which is a very personal touch to the experience. The wait staff (kids... More
