If given the opportunity to eat here or somewhere else my kids will always pick Kobe. This is their place for birthday dinners. The service is great and the people are very friendly. The food is amazing and not too expensive.

If you like Japanese food tepanyaki style where the chef cooks at the table, this will be the best choice in the area. The chef was very entertaining and the food was extremely delicious. Also the portions are big for the price you pay. My first choice when I visit Louisville, KY

I like going to a Kobe for the food. The show is OK but the food is really good. Had the sushi appetizer which was nice and well priced. The food was done nicely. Green tea was excellent.

First of all, I ate here late on a Sunday night at the sushi bar, so I can't speak to the teppanyaki experience or how they do at peak times. BUT, this is a very good small sushi spot. Their fish was excellent, and they had a high quality (and reasonably priced) selection of fish. Maguro tuna, albacore, super-white, salmon,... More

You are not getting Kobe steak, as you can tell by the price. I had the teriyaki steak which was very reasonably priced. Flavor and environment was average. The real plus was the convenient location to my hotel.

If you're looking for a great place to eat Japanese food, this is the place. You have many choices to pick from. You can have sushi, which is one of our favorites, to watching the chief cook your food right in front of you. It's even fun for the kids. My grandkids love the chicken fried rice. It's also fun... Not bad, although not a destination restaurant. On beautiful days, when Kingfish or Rocky's have 40 minute waits, you can usually get in here immediately. Food was fine. Miso was flavorful, sushi was good, although people's tastes vary enormously on that. My yakisoba was fine, my son liked his chicken katsu. Good service, food came out very quickly. If you... More

We live fairly close and for a birthday or celebration, Kobe usually ends up being our pick. There is just something fun about sitting around the grill watching your food be prepared with flair. We've been several times over the years, but are some things I've noticed at Kobe in Jeffersonville, the sushi is always great, the service is always... More
