The resturant have very good food enhanced by the overall German experience of clothing and physical enviorment. If you are not a regular of eating this type of food, you can always order their sampler platter. It gives you a decent broad exposure to German meats and German cooking. Friday and Saturday there is usually a waiting line of families... More

I don't go here often because I believe the food Is overpriced for what you get and I can fix the same thing at home for a lot less. It tastes a lot better than this too.

To begin, a word or two on Jasper. I have to assume that its remote location (Jasper is strategically located 50 miles from everything in every direction) gives the town its lost-in-time vibe. Now, when I say lost, I am not denigrating fair Jasper. On the contrary, the country would be in far better condition if more of its communities... More

The place was crazy busy, but it was for their buffet not their German food. The service was nice, but slow. The beer selection was very good. The gift shop was fun. The food prices were much higher than expected - this is not a fine dining establishment. We went for the German food, but the big draw was their... More

Kris was our wonderful waitress on Saturday, March 15th (table of 4 two girls and mom and dad) Kris took such good care of our girls and was so nice; she deserves a raise - what a wonderful face to the customer in both her attitude and the love for her job serving others. Bratwurst, kraut, salad and potatoe was... More

My husband had been here several years ago and loved it. I've never had German food before and wanted to try it so he took me here. Our server was very helpful in explaining what food items were so I'd know what I might like. She even told me what the sauces were on the plate when food was delivered.... More

I had my 2 grandsons with me, ages 8 & 9 and they were thrilled with their meals as well. Top notch service, Great Food, What more can you ask for. Keep up the good work. We will be... More

The Schnitzelbank is such a fun dining experience! I would come here as a child, and now I take my children. I love the salad bar. Everything from the specialty salads to the soup is homemade. My husband like the huge smoked pork chops and my kids love the fried chicken. It is a "must visit" in Southern Indiana! The... More

We have eaten here several times, often making the hour-and-a-half drive simply for dinner. If you like German food, don't miss the "Schnitz!" My husband always has the Wurst Platter, as he enjoys German sausages. I have had a variety of entrees. All have been delicious, but I particularly like the Beef Rolladen and the Kassler Ripchen. We always add... More

The food was pretty on the plate but had very little taste. The portions were small and the price was $ 55.00 for 2 adults with sodas.
