As I visit Indy from NC I want nothing but authentic food. The are the BEST donuts I have ever had. Melt in your mouth....yummy :)

As a self-proclaimed donut connoisseur, I had to try the donuts at this bakery when I saw that it's the #1 restaurant in Indianapolis. However, I was extremely disappointed in the selection, size, taste and quality of the donuts. The employees were also extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Unfortunately, I needed their assistance in selecting a donut because none of the... More

Don't understand all the hype. Just an average donut. Nothing great. Have tried both locations several times and always leave thinking "I don't get it". I moved here from Chicago five years ago and have just come to realize ppl of Indy really don't know good food due to the lack of good food available to them.

We were just back in Indy for one night and had to go by Long's and grab some donuts. Still the best donuts to hit these lips. Make sure and get the warm glazed donuts they grab from the back right off the line. Krispy Kreme eat your heart out! Grab a bunch of varities. They are all awesome. It... More

I grin when I think of Longs Bakery. This is the story... I live on the north side of Indianapolis and had never heard of it. When I started a new job in downtown Indianapolis, the "guys" tried to convince me that it was the newest person's responsibility to bring donuts. OK, I'll "bite". I'm new and need to make... More

I'm not from Indy, but I know that Long's is a well known bakery and local tradition. I may not be from Indy, but I know a good donut when one melts in my mouth. I'm from Krispy Kreme country and I love KK, but Long's rules when it comes to big, airy yeast donuts and heavy dense cake donuts.... More

Great homemade donuts- the junky downfall is that they don't accept debit or credit cards, you can only pay with cash. Longs is always super busy every time my husband and I stop by.

As a big fat slob I know good junk food.. These doughnuts are the best I've had! They do not take any cards.. Cash only and you will wait in line, also you have to park in the street.. Still Worth it.. Do it! Ladies behind counter were awesome too!

We had a weekend near Chicago planned and I knew we'd be driving through Indianapolis so I checked TripAdvisor for top rated restaurants. To my surprise, the top rated restaurant was a bakery. I read the review and thought it sounded like it was worth the effort to check it out. We arrived at about noon on a Friday and... More

This is why we're all fat in Indianapolis. I've eaten these lard-soaked pastries all over this country-and friend, these are the best there are.
