Harry & Izzy's was our first stop on our Indianapolis weekend and of all the restaurants we visited I put this one on top. From the powerhouse shrimp cocktail to onion soup and straight through to delicious steak and seafood choices H&I delivered a dining experience as good as any top restaurant. While most in our group of 6 opted... More

Went to this spot not knowing or hearing anything about it. The menu is pricey, but it's totally worth it and the portions are above average. We had the shrimp cocktail which was AMAZING! The horseradish is fresh and I mean, super fresh. It was the best I've ever had. The entrees ordered were, the prime rib sandwich, the tuscan... More

I do a lot of business travel to Indy and I can say I have never been disappointed with my experience at Harry & Izzy's. The service at the downtown location has always been great -personable, knowledgeable and efficient staff. The atmosphere (dining or at the bar) is excellent. My favorite items have been the St. Elmo's Prime Rib Sandwich,... More

This upscale eatery was packed on prom night, showing its local popularity. Probably one of the better fine dining choices in Indianapolis. Good food. Good wine list. Weird service. Specialties of the house are St. Elmo's shrimp cocktail (large shrimp served icy cold with copious quantities of a red horseradish sauce hot enough to raise clear blisters on a cast... More

Clean tablecloth but under the table and chairs there were crumbs all over the place! The beet salad was very nice and an enormous portion but the soba noodles with scallops was a wet mess. My friend had the famous shrimp cocktail and the salmon and green beans which turned out to be nothing special. I think instead that for... More

Went here last night. Three of us had the waiter's recommended dry aged New York Strip $49. It was one of the toughest steaks I've ever encountered. Sent it back to the kitchen. Not something I have done in years. The service was poor and not what you would expect from one of the most expensive Steak Houses in Indianapolis.... More

Good steak and famous shrimp cocktail! Be careful when you eat shrimp cocktail. It was one of the most unique experiences (in terms of food) I ever had in my life. Nice interior too. Recommended.

I was looking forward to trying the shrimp cocktail and steaks but did not feel we got our money's worth. 4 of 7 steaks were over cooked (which the waiter agreed) but they did not inquire what we thought of the steaks until I pointed out to the waiter the medium rare next to me was well done and not...
