The restaurant was across from our hotel. We chose it because it was close and we were hungry. As an appetizer we ordered the spicy Asian shrimp. My entrée was the South African lobster tail. I had a glass of Merlot to drink. It was a shade on the pricy side, but it's a quality downtown restaurant, so it was... More

The parent property next door is not open for lunch so this is a nice option. Fun round space will old Indy photos and a large Indy 500 lap board.

There is nothing wrong with Harry & Izzy's in downtown Indianapolis, but there was nothing that stood out to me either. A friend once said about something, "I'm whelmed, not over-whelmed, not under-whelmed, just whelmed" and that is how I would describe my experience. We were there on a Tuesday night for a work (recruitment dinner with a job candidate)... More

Went here for a group business dinner at a conference. The NY Strip was delicious, and cooked just right. The sides were good...and oh wow...the shrimp cocktail was something! I wasn't a huge fan of the cocktail sauce, but it was absolutely an experience. OUr server was amazing. He was funny, engaging, and intuitive. Pay him more. He deserves it.

For all intents and purposes, this is St. Elmo just larger, more modern, less charm. That said on a busy night, you'll get a table faster, especially without reservation. It's a tradition now, famous shrimp cocktail, filet, Pinot, creme brulee. Can't go wrong, still excellent

Staff and ambience: Took my clients to this restaurant for a business trip. This place is delicious and my clients loved it! Had a wonderful time and the staff is super friendly. Food: We all had the shrimp cocktail which was delicious and started it off just right. We all ordered one which was too much. Be careful in making... More

Great shrimp cocktail great steaks. But I fined it overrated. The dining experience is spoilt by a noisy environment and pretty slow service. I believe that they have over reached themselves and it will eventually backfire.

We came during the lunch hour having reserved the day before. We were seated promptly. I had their (local) tea- Earl Gray- which is absolutely delicious. I ended up drinking 4 cups! The other party had a local beer, which was also delicious. We started with the famous shrimp cocktail which will literally clean your sinuses out. I do not... More

Service is good. The shrimp cocktails are understandably famous and delicious. My Caesar salad was kind of skimpy and my New York steak was just average. Creme brulee for dessert was good. I was part of a group with a prepaid meal here so I can't judge the value for money but I did not find the food to be... More
