We have been going to El Jaripeo for years, and on our last 3 visits, have been very disappointed. The food is good, but the service certainly lacks, and their margaritas are FROZEN!!! I mean frozen. The one time, I could not even drink it, not even through a straw, so refused it. Of course, they took it away, and... More

I like to find little, non-chain Mexican restaurants when I travel; nothing like a good margarita and some spicy food to take the edge off a long business day. I found El Jaripeo by accident. It's in a strip mall, but I never let that stop me. It's a small restaurant, with good and quick service. The margarita I had... More

This restaraunt is SUPERB! My family and I eat here about once a week. They have the BEST food especially the chips, salsa and queso. And the Margaritas are the best! You only need one! The staff are all friendly. We are sitting here now and they are mopping the floors under the tables as we speak and the tables... More

The nachos and salsa were great. Everything else was disappointing. The food was mediocre. My "hot and spicy" burrito was neither. It was lukewarm and bland. The service was terrible. I even had to ask for a knife and fork. And the atmosphere was a lot like eating at an airport food court. Give this one a miss!

We stopped in on our way through Indiana and were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. The Chile Verde with pork was delicious. The Cozumel Salad was good except that some of the shrimp were not completely deveined. Other than that, service was quick, staff was friendly and attentive, atmosphere was nice. The premium margarita (with the Cuervo... More

We go to El Jaripeo frequently, we started going many years ago when they were located in a strip mall and really enjoy going now that they have moved to a new location that has a great, festive atmosphere! Their queso blanco and guacomole are fabulous and I highly recommend getting them for chip dipping! The dinners are a lot... More

If you are the east side of Indianaolis be sure to try El Jaripeo. It is a large place with an extensive menu featuring many dishes that are not so common here in the USA. I had their Coctel de Camarones (Mexican Shrimp Coctail) and found it to be quite authentic and very good. It is nothing like the Shrimp... More

Myself and two friends, whom I had not seen for over a year, went to El Jaripeo on E. Washington St., on Sun. Aug. 7, 2011 to have dinner and catch up. Since it was a Sun. evening at about 7:15 p.m. they were not very busy. The food was good and the service was good until we were ready... More
