Wine at the bar

Spent a relaxing night after work at the bar having some wine and salad. The pinot grigio was okay, I wouldn't order it again. The salad looked small but was packed with dark green lettuce, it was very good. I will say there was a loud group that was annoying, this is actually the second time... read more

I say "surprisingly" because when we first walked in we thought it was just a neighborhood place that may or may not be anything special, but we were wrong! Not only was our food excellent, but the drinks were very good as well. When the waitress learned it was our anniversary, she brought us out a free dessert. We definitely... More

First Class service and food with a nice atmosphere that felt like an old neighborhood place. The staff knew half the customers - very cool. I hadn't been here since the moved and they haven't missed a beat. I love this place. The flavors of the food were fantastic. I normally ignore the side of spaghetti that comes with the... More

Ambrosia is the same as always, even though it moved down the road. Traditional Southern Italian with no real surprises. Saturday night, my wife had the flank steak dish, and I had ravioli. Both were very good. The restaurant was packed, and kinda loud.

This is one of my best friend's favorite restaurant, and we have dined together at Ambrosia at least three times in the past two months. Every time, I have had a great meal. I love the Gnocchi; and just last week I tried the Brodetto, which was excellent. I can't remember the dish my friend ALWAYS orders - it is... More

Myself and Five girlfriends ate at Ambrosia tonight. It was wonderful. The food was great as was the wine. Samantha was very personable and new her stuff. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely return and recommend it.

Went with 2 other couples. it was the first visit for all. Atmosphere great and the staff was wonderful. We had 5 different entrees between the 6 of us. Four of them were excellent. The unique salad appetizers were also very good.

Ok, the grilled artichoke appetizer is to die for. Staff is great and the owner comes around to chat. Both entrees, penne bolognese and ravioli were totally pedestrian. Outdoor patio is fun but a bit noisy. In fairness, Indianapolis does not do Italian very well when compared to cities on both coasts. We do plan to go back and try... More

Caught a taxi over to "Ambrosia" from the downtown area. Very authentic Italian food and staff was perfectly mannered and dressed to perfection. A wonderful experience.

Remains my favorite Italian in Indy. The previous location in Broad ripple was a bit quieter, their outdoor seating is now on the busy College avenue. The interior is a bit more modern though. The food quality is still there as well as the excellent service. Nice addition is the parking in the rear. Would expect more choices of fish.
