Appetizers the Highlight

Ok, the grilled artichoke appetizer is to die for. Staff is great and the owner comes around to chat. Both entrees, penne bolognese and ravioli were totally pedestrian. Outdoor patio is fun but a bit noisy. In fairness, Indianapolis does not do Italian very well when compared to cities on both... read more

Caught a taxi over to "Ambrosia" from the downtown area. Very authentic Italian food and staff was perfectly mannered and dressed to perfection. A wonderful experience.

Remains my favorite Italian in Indy. The previous location in Broad ripple was a bit quieter, their outdoor seating is now on the busy College avenue. The interior is a bit more modern though. The food quality is still there as well as the excellent service. Nice addition is the parking in the rear. Would expect more choices of fish.

This is a higher-end Italian restaurant with a long history. The food is reliable and authentic. What keeps me from rating this place any higher than average is the service. We had to ask for bread. I felt like they were always trying to up-sell me. Order a glass of wine and they try to sell you a carafe. They... More

Wine selection is not great. No top end Italian wines. Wine is not served at the proper temperature. I had some suspicious, possibly bad, wine here and asked the waitress if she could taste it and give me her impression. It might have need to breathe a little longer. She did nothing for about ten minutes. I asked her again... More

Very simple put this is the best Italian restaurant in Indianapolis. The food is authentic Italian and just as good as if you were there. Gino, the owner, is as Italian and friendly as they get and it filters down to his entire staff. The atmosphere is also authentic with all the beautiful family pictures which grace the walls and... Had a very good dinner here tonight. The new building is nice and I agree with other reviewers that it is loud but I don't think that it was tough to hear my dinner companions. I had the chicken parm which was awesome. Appetizers were expensive but good. No reason to get the bruschetta as it was expensive but bland.... More

Good value, excellent food, good service. The fish Amok is great, as is the curry. Usually a good selection of desserts. I have never been disappointed when eating here.

I was a regular at their former location. This was the first time at the new one. Though the ambience was quite nice, I miss the ambience of the old location. The food on the other hand is just as good or maybe even better. We dined outside. It was a great experience - even sitting right on College during... More
