Delicious tamales!

Love grabbing a meal here and so glad they have a south side location. Always had good service. The tamales are great here and even if you can't find a tamale you like at the time of day, I highly recommend the pork tacos as well!!

We went here on a busy Wednesday around lunch. Orders were taken quickly and.efficiently. Food was superb! The homemade chips and salsa are fantastic. Naturally, the namesake tamale was amazing!

I wanted to try this place because of food network show, I was not impressed but the tamales are good. We had nachos, tortas and tamales. Tortas were better than tamales in my opinion. Prices are reasonable and the tamales size are very good for the price. We'll be back next time we visit Indianapolis.

I visited here before, and the taste of the tamales were bad, very bland. It appears that they are improving on taste, I have ordered the "recession tamales" and they had a good taste. I believe they make their workers go through some sorta of "Dis-satifaction" training, as the customer service is horrible. No one ever seems to want to... More

My family and I where in town visiting the speedway and watched to grab a quick bite to eat and decided to stop by and check the place out. We where not disappoint. I had the pork and red sauce and beef and red sauce. I would definitely recommend to stop in. It's is low price but you need to... More

Although known for their tamales, the nachos and tacos are superb as well. The flavor of the spicy chipotle chicken is wonderful. The nacho chips are fantastic -- dense and homemade. Looking forward to bringing my family with me next time.

I choose this place because I could walk there from my hotel. What a great surprise--the tamales were fantastic! I tried the spicy chipotle chicken, ordered black beans on the side (basic, but fresh) and an awesome apple pecan tamale for dessert. With a soda, my meal was less than $10. The staff was very pleasant in this super casual... More

Oh my, these are good! I've only tried 2 of the Spicy Chicken Chipotle so far...can't wait to see how the others taste. Heads up...they don't make every type, every day so it looks like you'll have to make a couple trips!

I'm a big tamale fan. And the tamales at The Tamale Place are not just big, they're worthy of fandom! I had a beef and a pork tamale, and was really surprised at the size of both. The food came out quick, and it was really good. They didn't have pumpkin tamales that day, but I ordered an apple and... More

I saw it in Triple D several years ago and always make sure I eat here everytime I am in Indy. I look forward to going to the Indy 500 and eating here. The food is the best.
