See this place on triple D and had to try it while visiting Indy! Me and my husband really enjoyed the home cooked food and the staff were really nice! The owner over heard us tell the waitress we were visiting from Canada and came over and introduced himself. If we ever go back to Indy I hope this place... More

This is a staple for east side people. Friendly staff, clean, great food. The menu is loaded with down home comfort food. Service is fast, wait staff is friendly. I've never had a bad experience here, also a good selection for home cooking done right

Traveling through Indy and went out of the way to try this place. We found the place to be OK. We got there before their nightly specials which start at 4 I believe so we can not say any thing about them. We had a burger and a fried pork sandwich. Both were good. The place seemed to need a... More

Food was great , people were great I know it's historic but need to be cleaner, since was on a national TV show. Have been to other DDD restaurants and they were a lot cleaner

A friend recommended this place and when we drove up we were hesitant to go in. The area around it is run down and the restaurant itself is not in the best of shape. But the parking lot was full which is always a good sign. Our waitress was wonderful and not overbearing. I tried their special which was like... More

I liked it better before Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives featured this restaurant. The prices have gone up while the food has stayed the same. I love it here but I like the locals only vibe. If you do go, don't steal my counter spot.

Dined here with friends who live nearby. Restaurant has been here for years. Looks like it used to be a drive-in also, but now only inside service. There were five of us and there was a round table perfect for us. Service was fast and with a smile. Two of us had the three-cheese grilled cheese (delicious if not a... More

We went here after seeing it on Diner’s Drive-in and Dives. It was not what we were expecting when we pulled up. The outside was pretty run down. As we were hitting up a bunch of spots we’d seen on tv, we decided to go in and try it anyways. The inside was also very dated and seemed to not... More

This is the typical greasy spoon in some ways. It isn't fancy, but the food is pretty decent especially for the reasonable price. Plenty of coffee and good hash for breakfast. For dinners the tenderloin is yummy and the beef and noodles shouldn't be missed. Steer In is a fine example of down home comfort cooking. Located at East 10th... More

Decided to stop in as we had seen them on DDD, first impression was to turn back around. Old building, hardly any parking, dirty looking. We were hungry and had driven 9 hours so we decided to stay. Waitress took forever to help us, seemed new, if not sorry to say she should not be working there. We ordered drinks-... More
