We have eaten at Bosphorus before but this last trip to Bosphorus included our children. We were welcomed by friendly staff and were waited on by staff who took the time to answer questions about the food and make recommendations. The wonderful aromas of the food, the beautifully authentic décor and the delicious food draws us back for repeat visits.... More

The food was terrific!!! My husband and I were there for lunch on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We had the appetizer sampler plate and it was delicious!!! It had hummus, baba ghanoush, eggplant and peppers, peppers and walnuts, and a grain item. We were also given a generous amount of pita bread cut into strips. My husband had shish... More

This little treasure absolutely tantalized my taste buds! Loved the location and the homey ambiance but most importantly, love, love loved the food! This is worth a try even if you have never tried Turkish food. After my first visit (I thank my girlfriend for the introduction), I was back in 3 days and I am already looking forward to... More

Having traveled to Turkey last summer, my wife and I were excited to find out about the offerings of this establishment. We took my parents there, and we all agreed that this was a wonderful and memorable dining experience. Their bread and hummus were great. The Bosphorus Special plate is a great item to share, offering much variety and lots... More

Small restaurant with big taste. This is an old Victorian house that has been converted to a restaurant so the decor is Victorian mixed with Turkish. It works well and I love the mixture of colors. There's almost no point talking about the food because it is just good! Most entrees are in the $13-$16 range. The portions are fine... More

Good food. Well worth the visit, time, and money. Good service who had no problems meeting our requests. The hummus is terrific!

I have been a huge fan of the Bosphorus for years. I being all out of town guests here to show them Indy has class and more than chain restaurants. The last two times I've eaten there (both in July 2014) I haven't been as impressed. The service seems aloof (where's Orhan?) and the food, while good, doesn't have the... More

One of my staff spent 6 months in Turkey so when we had a convention in Indy I looked to see if there was a turkish restaurant & there was. The place was wonderfully decorated, enchanting & welcoming. The food was great with an authentic bill of fare - well done. My staff smiled as not only was it as... More

I've never had Turkish food. The environment, server and food was like a total cultural experience! Had stuffed grape leaves for appetizer and a lamb vegetable dish for dinner. Both were delicious including the soft, warm, fresh pita bread! I'll be back!

The Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe is a small place located just south of downtown Indianapolis. The food was great and we loved the colorful decor. The place is pretty small, so I would suggest getting reservations.
