This is my first Indian restauraant attempt in a new city and while I was not displeased, per se, I know there is something else out there closer to the five stars I want. Our three dishes were good: aloo matar, lamb vindaloo, and chicken korma. Warm, fresh nan also a plus. Masala tea excellent. However, and this is a... More

Good place if you're craving Indian food. The menu is diverse, portions are generous, and the spice is just right (if you like it spicy!). I had the vegetarian thali and it was a ton of food and very delicious. The naan, chutneys, and raita are also excellent. Haven't tried the buffet, but we'll definitely stop by sometime and try... Located in a shopping center in Broad Ripple, this is a fantastic choice. Good food, outstanding service and a place where you can have a delightful meal in a quiet environment. It looks like a good take out option too. I will eat here again and observing the number of locals raving about the food, I think it is a... More

I normally eat only items with meat, so the fact that this buffet has a limited selection is fine for me as long as the chicken curries and tandoori are available. The flavors are nice for the American palate, but not truly authentic.

We eat at indian restaurants often and I have to say that the spice and flavor content far exceeds other restaurants in indy. We had the veg thali platter and it was delicious. My sons had chicken makhani and they enjoyed it. Mango lassis were good and the poppodum and naan were freshly made and tasted terrific. The chutneys were... More

I feel that the food thye serve is fully customized to americans, if you are a indian food lover then please dont go , I ordered Chicken Tikka & Lamb Biriyani , both turn out to be the nightmare. I think the chef does not know the meaning of Biriyani. They serverd fried rice with some small pieces of boiled... More

Had to children's museum, but stopped by for buffet. Service was not so good as we expected else where.

While standing in line next door at the Morroccan place, I couldn't find anything I liked, so I ran next door to Shalimar and asked them how fast they could make me a chicken Korma. In less than 10 minutes, I was back at the Morroccan place enjoying my Korma, somosas and naan while trying to fend off my family... More

This restaurant has great food and friendly people working it. Will definitely return regularly. They do takeout as well which I love. The lamb dishes are favorite.

And Indian friend of ours took us to the lunch buffet at Shalimar years ago. Remembering her high praise of the food we returned on our own when in town. There was certainly a variety on the buffet but this time is was not well prepared or even fresh. The naan and garlic naans were tough and even greasy. Authentic... More
