We went for a 3pm tea. We were seated in a side room where they were preparing for a charity dinner. Except for ours all the other tables were filled with bags of favors. I had to maneuver around large open cardboard boxes to ge5 to my seat. We were 1st served a raspberry & spinach salad with fruit spritzer.... More

We had a blast at our murder mystery dinner, but I thought some improvements could've made a difference. The food was good, but nothing sensational. My biggest complaint was that we were in a different room from the host and the one speaker in our room wasn't that great and it was sometimes hard to hear her, which was imperative... More

My husband and I were married nearly four years ago, and had our reception here, with about 100 people. It was a second for both of us, and was a sensitive event because we had just lost my father's husband a few months prior to the wedding. When we first decided on the Propylaeum, they used Chef Mike for their... More

After reading some reviews, I was hesitant, but not to worry, everything was perfection. We called in advance to make an appointment for the two of us. We arrived early so as to tour the house. It’s a self guided tour, which is accompanied with a multi-page handout filled with interesting facts and amusing anecdotes. Kathy, who runs the tea... More

We went for the mad hatter tea party. Overbooked with a wedding too. Was supposed to have all these great references and games based on Alice in wonderland. Nothing happened - nothing in reference to it other than a cookie that said eat me. Owner even pointed out a cool dollhouse during the tour and said we would use it... More

I had a birthday tea with four of my friends last week. We all enjoyed it. I am a big fan of coffee, so I drink tea only occasionally. But after having their orange spice tea, I'd consider drinking it more frequently. It is not an overstatement to say that it was the best tea I've ever had. It was... More

We had been here for the Thanksgiving buffet & loved it. Food was hot & fresh with lots of options. We returned for the Easter buffet & was horrified! We were scheduled for the 2:30 sitting & found that the food must have been sitting since the opening. The food was cold, hard & crusty. Only a few options &... More

I went with high hopes to the mystery dinner. They asked you to tour the house and to pay special attention to room 6 where the murder took place. You were also given clues throughout dinner. None of this ever came into play. There are no clues in the room. The clues they give you have nothing to do with... More

The wife and I recently visited for the first time for a "Murder mystery" dinner. The house tour before dinner was very nice . Beer and wine were available for a reasonable price. The "murder mystery" was great fun and even though we had never met our tablemates prior to the evening , we were great friends by the end.... More

After searching extensively for a New Year's Eve party which would be elegant, yet fun, I decided to make reservations for this one. When I made the reservation I was told the dress for the evening was semi-formal. There was to be dining in an elegant atmosphere, 2013 trivia, dancing, and a midnight champagne toast. The evening began well. My... More
