I went with high hopes to the mystery dinner. They asked you to tour the house and to pay special attention to room 6 where the murder took place. You were also given clues throughout dinner. None of this ever came into play. There are no clues in the room. The clues they give you have nothing to do with... More

The wife and I recently visited for the first time for a "Murder mystery" dinner. The house tour before dinner was very nice . Beer and wine were available for a reasonable price. The "murder mystery" was great fun and even though we had never met our tablemates prior to the evening , we were great friends by the end.... More

After searching extensively for a New Year's Eve party which would be elegant, yet fun, I decided to make reservations for this one. When I made the reservation I was told the dress for the evening was semi-formal. There was to be dining in an elegant atmosphere, 2013 trivia, dancing, and a midnight champagne toast. The evening began well. My... More

I had read some reviews of this place before making reservations for Thanksgiving, some were good, some were bad. I don't know how it received any bad reviews. It was one of the best meals I have had. Out of all the food, the only thing I didn't care for was the pumpkin biscuts. Everything else was delish! The historic... More

We did a beer match with food this last weekend and the hottest food we had was dessert. Everything was served luke warm. We had plenty of beer and the food taste was okay if you like cool meals.

We are foodies and go to dinners similar to this at gourmet several times a year. This is a great value for the price. The food and service has been excellent and we enjoy the... More

Please read all of the reviews on here and take the negative ones with a grain of salt...you can't please everyone all of time. I have been here several times...murder mystery dinner, wine and painting, jewelry making...and had a wonderful experience each time. Food is good and the hostess Karen is very informative, energetic and passionate about the house and Indianapolis.... More

Attended our second mystery dinner at the Propylaeum and had a great time. We were seated at a table for eight which meant there were six people we did not know. But by the time the mystery was solved we were all laughing and friends. Dinner was five courses and very well prepared and presented. There was also a bar... More

For a wonderful bridal shower venue, try the Propylaeum tearoom. We thoroughly enjoyed the shower we held there for 25 women. Host Karen told us a bit about this beautiful house before she and Roger served afternoon tea, with lovely tiered trays of sweets and sandwiches, a cranberry refresher in a champagne flute, a strawberry salad and two kinds of...
