Located along the southwestern quadrant of Monument Circle, the Chocolate Café is an excellent place to get a treat and enjoy it while sitting outside along the wonderful atmosphere of Monument Circle, the center of activity in Indianapolis. While this place certainly was very busy, like everything else along Monument Circle, on Friday and Saturday evenings, we found the lines... More

Stopped by on a Sunday evening around 9pm, and the line was nearly out the door. It seemed like they were short-staffed. The gentleman who served us was fantastic though. He was very patient with my two kids, offering them samples to help them decide. Giant malt ball in the bottom of my cone was a fun surprise. Delicious treat... More

I stopped in to see what they had, and got more than I expected. From ice cream to frozen yogurt to novelties and beyond. The one thing that I didn't expect was how old their individual chocolate looked. I purchased a huge pecan turtle for a little less than $5, and it was great. Service was excellent. I wish now... Are you planning to go there on Saturday evening? Please, don't. It's so messy, there is a huge line of people, trying to get a cup of chocolate and piece of cake. You will have to wait for around half an hour to get your desired goodies. We did not even manage to get what we wanted - we just... More

A sign in the window of this restaurant claims they have the world's best hot chocolate...and it might be true. Everyone in our group of four loved their hot chocolate. My cherry flavored version was definitely good enough to bring me back for seconds. My boyfriend tried the peppermint variety and loved it. It's a perfect pick me up on... More

I loved that they have chocolate fondue...Plus ice cream and homemade Indiana chocolate in a variety of items to choose from. ex. malt balls, huge chocolate cakes, cheesecake on a stick. Plus the atmosphere is so quaint. I enjoyed eating the decadents outside overlooking the war monument. It was very romantic and super delicious.

We got frozen yogurt and had excellent service from the staff member working. The yogurt is flavorful-I had peanut butter mixed with praline. The toppings are varied but not overwhelming. The price was reasonable, too. Mine was a little over 4.50 for a delicious treat. I would definitely go back here.

After numerous strong reviews when here for dessert. Several ice cream options, sampled a few and felt they were average ($4 for single scoop, $5 for double). Cakes $6-10 slice so opted to check out their adjoining frozen yogurt shop. Sampled the cake batter and decided to go for it. $0.49 per ounce, several flavor options and toppings (including chocolates... More

This was my second visit to Southbend Chocolate at Monument Circle. The hot chocolate is amazing! It's comparable to Cafe Angelina in Paris! If you're in Indianapolis give it a try!
