This establishment is big on using local farm fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is a little loud but enjoyable. It feels like a high price establishment but is extremely affordable. The food is fresh, tasty, and a large portion. The staff is excellent at making you feel welcome and is attentive to your needs and requests. Their motto, "Student Union for... More

By and large, an apt description -- congenial, smiling upwardly mobile patrons (who are even willing to wait to be seated) great ambience, with an emphasis on local sourcing. The "student union" description fits in all respects except for fare. There are no shortcuts here...breakfast/brunch/lunch type menu is as entertaining to read as it is extensive. Breakfast items include quite... More

We were staying at the nearby Hyatt and wanted someplace other than the hotel to have a late morning breakfast. I got an omelette and my partner got a Broken Yoke sandwich. We were both very happy with the quality of the food, the personable server, and atmosphere. Really liked that they use organic and local foods when possible. Would... More

We stopped here for brunch/lunch and shared the stuffed french toast and the chicken sandwich. The food was fresh and tasted very good. The service was friendly and very helpful. On a Saturday afternoon around lunch we only had to wait <30min - not bad at all.

First visit. Food was good and fresh. They were very busy which is a good sign. Atmosphere was a bit loud and plain. Coffee is self serve so lots of up and down. Staff was friendly. We will come back but to often.

The TA reviews of Patachou are right on! We had breakfast here after a Monday night show at the Murat. The eggs were fresh and the choices were unique and delicious. The waitress was helpful and friendly. We looked at the lunch menu and the choices were likewise inviting.

Went here for the first time on local's recommendation, and was just charmed. Fresh jams and jellies, plus generous portion sizes. My group tried salads, soups, sandwiches, and special drinks. So glad to have this great place in downtown Indy for future visits--please come build down in Texas! Customer mix was just that--suits, jeans, and in-between.

What a great breakfast! My wife had the waffle with bacon and fruit and I had the broken yolk sandwich on sourdough. Both fabulous. The sourdough bread was the best I have ever tasted. Big lines on weekend so we went on a Monday with no wait but after eating here I can confirm the wait is worth it. Bill... More

The line was out the door on a cold and rainy day. That was the first clue but then I blew it when , after ordering, I followed the waiter to the register where he was posting our orders- I changed my selection. He was mad and ignored us from that moment on. So while the first waiter was a... More
