Indianapolis is a wonderful city with so much going on and many fine restaurants. Unfortunately there are very few on the water. The view and service are good but those were the only good things. For example my wife paid $22 for shrimp scampi. The large bowl arrived with lots of pasta and tomatoes but only four shrimp. I asked... More

My husband and I dined here for my birthday and it was our first visit. There was some nice music on the patio and we were seated in another room on the deck that was so noisy it sounded like a cafeteria. Our appetizer, the shrimp cakes, was the best part of the meal. I had the raspberry chicken and... More

Been to Ricks several times. The food is consistent and pretty good. Not amazing. But good. You can sit outside in a shaded area and have some cocktails when it gets really warm. They have a vast array of seafood to choose from, but can sell out early in the night. They were out of some options by 7pm last... More

We bring clients here for lunch regularly and it is always a good time. Nice view and good food. Can't go wrong here. I hear it is pretty lively on the weekends too.

I haven't been to ricks for quite sometime but thought we would give it a chance again. The restaurant is in a great setting on the reservoir with great views. If you sit outside many of the tables get direct sunlight facing the west. First off the waiter could not speak to the selection of beers on draft and no... More

The location is unique for Indy, and the outside dining is a popular choice. It is kind of loud, as its under a pavilion. There are ceiling fans for comfort. The Ricks Dip was a good starter, with big chunks of chicken and fresh chips. The club sandwich was tall and the fries good. The blackened Mahi Mahi was what... More

We keep going back because the outdoor deck is so nice on a summer evening. However, if you are not a very patient person, don't go to Ricks! The staff always seem like it is there first day and have no idea what is going on. Food is a bit on the pricy side for what you get. Coupled with... More

This was our first time here. I didn't dislike anything about the experience, but neither was it as wonderful as everyone told me it would be. Their seafood is flown in fresh every day, and nearly everything else is made right there. The food did taste good, just not … great. I had plum glazed jumbo shrimp and they were... More

We live on the Southside of Indy and decided to do something different for my birthday. Booked a table at Rick's and had a wonderful dinner. Our waiter was nice and attentive. My wife selected a Caribbean Lobster dinner, the waiter suggested a Maine Lobster dinner that was priced equivalent, how could she no. The food was solid and dessert... More
