Wonderful atmosphere to eat in, right on the water. We always try to stop and have dinner when we are passing through town as the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The food is excellent, but maybe a little pricey so we usually split something on the menu as the meals are big enough portions to do that.

We had be taken here in the past for meals that we remembered as pretty good. The scenery is wonderful and perhaps our expectations were too high. We met a niece and her family here for brunch and left a little disappointed. I just felt that the brunch menu was catering to the high fat (cheese on everything) crowd, and... More

I've been to Rick's several times over the years and lately it seems to be going downhill. Went for brunch and it was not very good. The food was cold mine and my wife's and did not taste of much. The Bloody Mary was the worst I've ever had. For the prices that are charged just not worth the money.

Friends were visiting from California, and wanted to dine at Rick's. It was a nice evening, so we sat outside on the deck. OMG!! The gnats were SO AWFUL we could barely eat our food. The whole entire time, we were swatting away gnats. The food was just ok, nothing special. My fries were cold, and my friend's order was... More

Our first visit to Rick's Cafe Boatyard we started off our meal with the calamari strips. They were great. They were so good we ordered a second plate of them before our meal. I had the Atlantic Salmon Roulades and my husband ordered the Fishermen's platter. We really enjoyed our meals. Our only negative was our waiter, we ordered coffee... More

We made a reservation before leaving England as we knew we would be eating on a Friday evening and all the reviews say this place gets busy. It was buzzing! It was a little cool to eat on the deck so we ate inside and enjoyed the live music with dinner. Tried Rico's Margarita and the Diamond Margarita whilst looking... More

It's been a couple years since the last time we were at Rick's. Our last meal there was disappointing to say the least. We decided to give it another shot, and we are glad that we did. We were treated to a beautiful autumn evening on the deck over looking the lake. It is hard to find a spot more... More

Cute place with a pretty view of the water, especially if the weather is nice. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was just "ok" always felt like the menu was overpriced. We've been a few times and don't go more often due to cost.

Why is this restaurant unique in Indy?- it overlooks water ..... the EagleCreek Reservoir. Lovely setting watching the sailboats or just enjoying the beautiful scenery. In warm weather there is a popular outside deck. There is a small jazz/soul group playing in the evenings. Very nice inside bar area. Prompt service. Diverse menu - includes lots of seafood- and eveything... More

I would classify this as "casual plus," a step up from the normal neighborhood pub or neighborhood pub wannabe (the ones with local athletic team paraphernalia slathered onto the walls). Often busy, but seldom a wait. If the weather is right, make sure you dine out on the large deck overlooking Eagle Creek Reservoir (mostly natural and undeveloped, so if... More
