The ambience was nice. The bread pudding dessert was very good. That is all of the nice that I have to say. I had the worst shrimp cocktail of my life!!!! And, I consider myself a connoisseur of shrimp cocktails. The shrimp were tough, difficult to chew and not fresh at all. The cocktail sauce had a very strange taste...kind... More

Excellent food and drinks. My husband and I sat at the bar and enjoyed appetizers and drinks. The bartenders were very friendly and we had a great time. We weren't super hungry so ordering a few appetizers was perfect. Loved the filet sliders, and lobster bisque soup, as well as the fish tacos.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in town. Pricey. Very popular. We were part of a group of seven for a birthday celebration. The service was great and the food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the tomato and mozzarella salad and the hash browns. You have to try the hash browns. They are the best! A plate... More

We came to the Oceanaire to celebrate our anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. My husband loves fish, I am not as much of a fan, but I feel its because I have had "bad" fish, and not enough kinds to truly give it a chance. I discussed it with our server who suffers the same kinds of concerns and... More

Oceanaire has great food and selection, but pricey, especially inland away from ocean(s)! We went here as part of Indianapolis' restaurant week (that they insist on calling "Devour Downtown" which sounds like Godzilla is somehwere around) so it was a special menu of $35 per person. What we got for that price was EXCELLENT. We also picked an appetizer, calamari,... More

Recently had dinner here with my wife and another couple. I had the coho Salmon, a cup of clam chowder and dessert. The calm chowder was excellent and would rival the east coast for quality. My wife and I shared a bottle of wine from the extensive wine selection and had a nice chardonnay to compliment our entrees. My wife... More

I went to the Oceanaire on a recommendation from the hotel and loved the food. Great raw oyster selection and a nice traditional and chef selection of seafood. I had the crabcakes which were outstanding, others in my group had the swordfish and said it was excellent. The only disappointment was one person ordered the halibut and they were out... More

Took a customer and his wife here during the week recently and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Service was top notch and our server Sheryl was awesome. Place was busy but you could hold a conversation at the table or in the bar. I had the blackened Halibut and it was perfectly cooked. They had the crab legs and devoured... More

We recently had dinner at Indy's Oceanaire to celebrate a special occasion (which I informed the restaurant of when I made the reservation). Even though we were late because of traffic, the staff seated us on the balcony section at a very nice table overlooking the restaurant, which is richly furnished. Everything we ordered, from appetizers (including the best mussels... More

Seafood is fresh, the preparation is decent, but not deserving of the lofty prices. They got the order wrong on two of our three orders. Still, a pleasant meal.
