Recently had dinner here with my wife and another couple. I had the coho Salmon, a cup of clam chowder and dessert. The calm chowder was excellent and would rival the east coast for quality. My wife and I shared a bottle of wine from the extensive wine selection and had a nice chardonnay to compliment our entrees. My wife... More

I went to the Oceanaire on a recommendation from the hotel and loved the food. Great raw oyster selection and a nice traditional and chef selection of seafood. I had the crabcakes which were outstanding, others in my group had the swordfish and said it was excellent. The only disappointment was one person ordered the halibut and they were out... More

Took a customer and his wife here during the week recently and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Service was top notch and our server Sheryl was awesome. Place was busy but you could hold a conversation at the table or in the bar. I had the blackened Halibut and it was perfectly cooked. They had the crab legs and devoured... More

We recently had dinner at Indy's Oceanaire to celebrate a special occasion (which I informed the restaurant of when I made the reservation). Even though we were late because of traffic, the staff seated us on the balcony section at a very nice table overlooking the restaurant, which is richly furnished. Everything we ordered, from appetizers (including the best mussels... More

Seafood is fresh, the preparation is decent, but not deserving of the lofty prices. They got the order wrong on two of our three orders. Still, a pleasant meal.

This place really is worth it. The fish here is so fresh it is as if I were on the boat itself. We had the tuna and it was unbelievably fresh. I expected fresh but not like this. The presentation of the fish was impressive. It was very simple. No big sauces covering up the taste. The atmosphere is also... More

This is where you go in Indy to get the freshest seafood at an upscale restaurant. Perfect for a biz dinner, a special night out, or a quick appetizer and cocktail at the bar before a game. Great martinis, and a pretty nice wine list to boot.

Food was nice but not amazing. Salad was large, the sole was fine. The best things were the asparagus and the (cheaper) Pinot Grigio. Service was average, polite and timely. Should've docked a point for the assumption I wanted the glass of wine that was twice the price but I'm feeling generous. Nice evening

Ate here on a busy Saturday night during a conference and prom. We had reservations and were seated right away. Our server was very good and knowledgeable. I shared a mussels appetizers and they were excellent. We all got the scallops and they were the best scallops I think I have ever had. Everything was fresh. The creme brûlée was... More

The restaurant is very attractive, and the wait staff is polished. Good assortment of selections but not much that isn't seafood. Expertly prepared. But...very expensive. The sides run up to $15. So, with an entree and a side, and a couple of drinks, it can easily run $75 per person.
