Downtown Indianapolis fine dining restaurant famous for their sinus clearing shrimp cocktail sauce. Tonight was no exception to another great dinner at St Elmos. Starting with jumbo shrimp completely submerged in cocktail sauce that made sure you were awake and ready for your meal. Our three steaks were each a notch under cooked but still tasty. We had a combination... More

Although expensive, I really enjoyed this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere which reminds you of days gone by. The service was very good and the steak was great.

The service was prompt and informative, the food was to die for, and the wine and cocktail menu and execution top notch. Really (really) enjoyed the experience. Tempted to go back to Indianapolis again just to eat here it was THAT good.

Had the shrimp cocktail and a filet steak. The shrimp cocktail was a little disappointing but it was a traditional dish I had to try. My wife and I frequently go to this establishment. The Steaks are always done to perfection and you have got to try the Shrimp Cocktail because it is Second to none.

Food is decent but the quality of the cuts has gone downhill. Service is ok. Getting consigned to the basement feels ver removed. First me alohas there was better than the last meal I had

I finally got to eat at the highly regarded St. Elmo Steak House. My husband has been numerous times for business dinners. It didn't disappoint at all. I will say though that I've also had awesome fillet mignons at other fine establishments. It's up there with Ruth Chris, Morton's etc. The ambiance was really nice though and the famous shrimp... We set up reservations a good month in advance and we glad we did. We got there to a complete packed restaurant (front area was bar and back area was dining area). I would say there were about 15-20 tables and the environment reminded me of a NYC trendy restaurant. We of course ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and I ordered... More
