Classic steakhouse. Sharp service, classic ambiance. Pricey but worth it - steaks are huge- I recommend splitting a big one, especially if you're starting with the shrimp cocktail. I abuse wasabi and the horseradish in the cocktail sauce kicked my butt! It's delicious but almost inedible it's so hot. The bone in ribeye was one of the best I've had... More

We visited St Elmos over the weekend for dinner before a show. It was our second time here. Like the first time it was amazing! I would definitely call it the best meal I ever had. Glen was our server this time. Please ask for him he was the best! Very polite and got us anything we needed in a... More

St. Elmo's was highly recommended by a good friend of mine from Kentucky. "Best shrimp cocktail you'll ever have". Turns out he's very astute! The sauce was uniquely awesome! Great atmosphere, very knowledgable and friendly service. Good cold beer selection, good wine selection and a simple but very good menu selection. Come hungry for sure! I absolutely love hot and... We stumbled upon this classic historic steakhouse on a recent trip to Indy and were so pleasantly surprised! Even without reservations to our delight the hostess got us quickly seated in the bar. Our server Ally was friendly and genuine, sharing bits of the restaurants history with us since we were from out of town. We started with the famous... More

Must have the shrimp cocktail! It's the dish they are known for and it's hot but amazing! Steaks are really good and cooked to perfection! Ahi Tuna sashimi was really fresh and delish.

Dined at St. Elmo's on a recent trip to Indianapolis. The atomosphere of the restaurant is very charming along with it's decor. The upstairs bar was cozy. The restaurant and bar was crowded. You definately need reservations. We ordered one of the famous shrimp cocktails. The shrimp was very fresh. The cocktail sauce has lots of horseradish. I loved the... More

Friends knew we were going to Indianapolis for a conference and recommended we go to Saint Elmo's steakhouse and have the shrimp with Saint Elmo's special shrimp sauce. We went and not only enjoyed the fabulous shrimp and shrimp sauce but one of their specialty drinks and the pork chop appetizers. The building is interesting and they have done a... More
