Love the Atmosphere and the Food!

I would call Palomino an upscale-casual kind of place. My wife and I attended with another couple during the weekend of the Final Four. (We even saw John Calipari having dinner there, which was pretty cool!!) He was wearing nylon warmups, and we were wearing our team gear. Nonetheless, you can... read more

Went there on Easter Sunday during Final Four. Everything was delicious. Pear martini was crisp and light and awesome. Everyone in our party (fromNY, DC and Chicago) was pleased with their meals and pleasantly surprised to get away from typical bar/chain fare found downtown. We all ordered dessert and the consensus was the creme brulee is tops. Our servers were... More

We've been to Palomino on other trips to the Big 10 Tournament. This was for the Final Four, and it did not disappoint. We took another couple, and they loved it. It's affordable and fun. We had a reservation for 7:15 p.m. on a Friday during the Final Four. We got there early, and were immediately seated. Loved the server.... More

We ate here Easter morning after many people recommended it. We had reservations and it was not busy at the time, but service was very slow. We ordered coffee and they took fifteen minutes to bring that as "they had to rustle up some mugs". It was only 11:30am and they were out of mugs? They were out of two... More

Our waitress was exceptional; she was knowledgeable, helpful, and paced our meal perfectly. I started with the Brussels Sprouts, but should have joined the rest of our party with the mushroom soup. My Lamb Shanks was a hearty meal, nothing fancy, but very nice. Very nice quiet place for being as busy as it was.

We recently had dinner here, and the food and wine were terrific, as usual! What really amazed me was the wonderful attention of our server. We couldn't have had better! This restaurant is always wonderful for a meal or even just dessert, and it's located right in the middle of everything. Perfect, as usual!

I've visited Palomino in another city once and was not blown away by them. Never really thought of going back. Only went this time because a co-worker wanted to go. Food was very good. I'd definitely go back. I may have just ordered the wrong thing the first time I went.

I started coming to Palomino in the late 90's and it has always been one of my favorite restaurants. However, the last two visits have left me wondering if I'll be back. We went on a Thursday night and the service was very good. I traditionally would get the asiago crusted tilapia or the rigatoni bolognese as these are two... More
