This place sucks- food was terrible and my étouffée had 3 crawfish in it. As a former resident of New Orleans , I know my Cajun food.

Great little place with an amazing chili cheese etouffee - gotta try it to believe it. Owners are super nice and you can definitely feel the community while sitting in the restaurant. I was visiting a friend who insisted that we stop by so I could sample the etouffee and to meet with the people who work there. This is... More

This is the original Yats. New Orleans college feel to the place. I love the garlic bread as a side and you can get an extra amount for a reasonable price. Etoufee, red beans and rice, the sides, I've never been disappointed yet. Some people say it isn't the best New Orleans food they've had. My response is the place... More

Love chili cheese étouffée and it is addictive so if you get hooked on it and have a craving you may want to plan on several trips in the following days!!! Garlic bread is a nice touch and s are the laid back employees who add to the at atmosphere. Once ate there on an IOU basis which is not... More

Found this spot on tripadvisor while visiting indy. Great location. New Orleans decor college student atmosphere. Excellent fast service. Etoufee was delicious. Sweet like coconut milk.....jambalaya was just okay. Would return to try other dishes for sure

Like many other reviewers I've been going to Yats for years and I've never been disappointed. I always bring people here and they love it too. The food is satisfying and do delicious. The management and staff have a great, helpful and generous spirit. If you're from out of town, make sure you visit any of the locations.

Great flavors, great staff, plenty of food. Dont miss this stripmall joint. Chili cheese etouffee with crawfish takes me straight back to the Crescent City. They get it!!

I love this place. It is quirky, friendly and filling (even with a half order). It is cash only, but their other locations take credit. If you are lucky, they will give you a heaping portion free of charge. They are also quick to bring your food.

We found this place through Yelp and we were not disappointed. It's cajun style fast food with enough types of food to appeal to those who like spicy, or a more mild dish. Their pralines were amazing and it was nice to have a local beer with dinner too.
