Having been to New Orleans a few times, I had to see if the food lived up to the hype. Not so much. It's OK...but is missing that certain "spark" of traditional cajun/creole. If you can get your food without being infuriated by the rude, pretentious smartass kids at the counter, good luck! Also, the menu does change based on... more

Maybe the most over-hyped restaurant in Indy. Food can be tasty, however my crawfish was rancid the last time i ate there. Counter staff can be rude and pretentious....would definitly recomment Zydeco's in Mooresville over this place(its worth the drive and the extra $) more

Jesus, the food is good here. The restaurant isn't fancy, but it is a little quirky. It's a fun place to get good Cajun/Creole food in large portions at a stupid cheap price. If they had a full menu and table service, I might give it five stars. Did I mention that the food was awesome? Seriously. Try it. more

Used to like it, but now I honestly find the food mediocre and (dare I say it?) overpriced for what it is. more

Locals recommended this place. It was good food in an interesting place. I'd try it again. I had the gumbo, which was not bad at all. The service was very quick, even during a big lunch. I may adjust my opinion after more visits. more

Can't stand up to the hype; claims to be authentic, but I'm from the area and see very little authenticity; Owner was actively hostile and unfriendly. more

When I first read the reviews on this restaurant, it was rated #1 in Indianapolis. So, my wife and I were anxious to try it out. We ate on a Friday night. The place was packed. It was a bit difficult finding a parking place (we street parked about 150 yards away). We stood in line for 10 minutes to... more

Yats menu is written on a chalkboard behind the counter. It changes daily, and they WILL have run out of stuff if you get there late in the day. The staff is always pretty cool, the owner really wants you to be happy with your food. The Broad Ripple location has some really funky decor, WIFI, and you can eat... more
