Be sure to order a frosty mug of root beer when you get there. You pull up, flip on your lights and the "car hop" comes out to take your order. When it is delivered it is put on a tray hanging onto the driver car window. ...just like in the 50s! Wonderful place to bring young and old for... More

I grew up with some of the best drive in food around. Mug-n-bun was always my favorite. I hold special memories of swimming at Westside country club in the summer and stopping at Mug-n-bun on our way home for footlong coney dogs and onion rings and homemade rootbeer. Now that brings me to my latest visit, I live 50 miles... More

First time visitors and we enjoyed a lunch here before touring the motor speedway hall of fame located just a few minutes away. Food was good, skinny crinkle cut fries were unique, root beer was fantastic! We enjoyed looking at all the signage on the walls of dine in and the server even gave my husband a free bumper sticker... More

I like to support independent restaurants any time I am able. As other reviews state, the place is pretty neat and love the history. The service girls are pretty friendly. Kinda stinks they have to walk across the lot back and forth for the food, but it is what it is. The first time I went there, I got the... More

I'm sure there were days in the past Mug-n-Bun did not exist, but I am glad I wasn't alive to see those dark days. This is a classic drive-in with classic drive-in food. Sure they've added a room across the parking lot, but why would you want to eat in there versus in your car or the small outdoor patio?... More

Went to the Mug and Bun a couple of weeks ago for lunch. Great old time drive with some very good greasy spoon type of food. Our fries were piping hot! The Root Beer is very good, I had to get a Jumbo size! The Double Cheeseburger was very good also. The only drawback was my girlfriend saying the Tenderloin... More
