It is hard to believe that people actually like this restaurant. It is an old ugly house that has been converted into a restaurant. Terrible service on more than one occasion. The food is alright. I can name twenty other Italian restaurants that I would choose before this one. I promise you that it is not worth your time. more
If you like eating bad food in an old house where the staff acts as though they are doing you a favor allowing you to eat there......then you'll love it. I wouldn't eat there again if they opened a restaurant in my kitchen. more
you have to try the shrimp fettucini alfredo, my fav. the perfect place to take a date, special occasion, or just to enjoy the best italian food i've ever had more

I order a pasta dish and didn't like the taste at all. Too much cheese and did not taste authentic. The hostess who seated us gave us the crapiest seats in the restaurant, and thank goodness my date spoke up and we were seated somewhere better by another hostess. Probably my second favorite Italian in Indy after Enrico's. The gorgonzolla pasta is great as is the clam sauce. The wife loves the key lime martinis and service has always been solid. Only downside is no reservations and the wait for a table can sometimes be quite long. more
I just went here for the first time, and I will return. The location is great, and the food even better. The only drawback is no reservations, but that doesn't dampen my enthusiasm for a return trip. more
Whenever I'm in Indianapolis for more than a day, I try to make at least one trip to Mama Carolla's.
