Sakura's food is amazing. The sushi is fresh and plentiful. I also love their miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. It is so reasonably priced. Even if you don't like sushi you can get soup and salad for under $5. It's a super small restaurant, so unless you go early or late, be prepared to wait. Some nights are... More

Took my family to Sakura Japanese Restaurant on a Sunday evening. My wife & I shared 4 sushi rolls and some sashimi - all were excellent: Bob's Roll, Rock & Roll, Spicy Tuna & SoftShellCrab roll. My daughters enjoyed Nabeyaki Udon & Yaki Udon (authentic Japanese Noodle bowls). Service was good & friendly, and the food was very slow to... More

This place has the best Sushi you can get this far from the sea. The service is ok, but who needs service when you have a mouth full of the best sushi this city has to offer? I'm not even a fish person. I don't care for seafood at all but the wife loves it and I clearly don't mind... More

I do not like fish. Let me repeat, the flavor of the sea typically gets me wretching. But, I ate sushi, lots of it. Was I sent into a heavenly bliss? No, it was still weird. The fish wasn't what weirded me out (come on, give me credit, I ate sea urchin). The seaweed was what did not sit well.... More

Very Traditional! Our new fav Japanese in Indianapolis! We went for an early lunch. 11:30 when they open. Glad we did because it got crowded quickly! The Soft Shelled Crab tamaki was good and not over breaded, The tempura appetizer was light and warm. Miso soup was some of the best we have tasted, Nabe Yaki Udon was also among... More

This is one of my go to places in Indy for Sushi! Be sure to get there early, before you're too hungry... Parking is limited and almost always a short wait to be seated. The atmosphere is loud due to the tight quarters but if you're willing to wait, the sushi is phenomenal!

Had sushi today for lunch at Sakura. This was our first time eating here and were pleasantly surprised. We only had sushi but the other food we saw, especially the noodles, looked and smelled delicious. As for the sushi, the menu was rather small compared to other sushi places we have eaten at. The sushi we ordered was filling and... More

I wasn't sure about this place when we first looked at it. I wanted to take my wife out for an early Mother's Day meal and we decided to give it a try on a Friday evening. I knew we had picked a special spot when we pulled up at 6pm and couldn't find a place to park. We were... More

Good food. Reasonable prices. More than adequate service, At lunch, the bento boxes are a particularly good deal.
