I was excited to try Black Market after perusing their website. The cocktails and dishes sounded adventurous and I was eager to sample them, but alas, everything fell short of my expectations. The best was the atmosphere as there were many good choices in the decor but the oversized community table and too many industrial lamps just didn't work. The...

Wonderful combination of very fresh and unique menu items. The last time we went, we ordered Lamb nachos and it was to die for! Very rich, great combination in spices - instead of corn chips, it was served with homemade potato chips. I know, it sounds strange, but the chips were thick and so tasty just by themselves. The atmosphere...

A very interesting restaurant for the Midwest, one that you would more likely find in NYC than IND. A limited menu of interesting and well-prepared items, some of which were outstanding and some just so-so. The lamb stew with a sweet sauce failed to hit the mark but the chicken liver pate was one of the best I've ever eaten....

This place is strange. Odd menu and limited menu. Tons of alcohol options though. We had a hard time deciding what to order. My husband liked the special a pan Thai type of dish with meatballs. I didn't care for the pork chop. This place was a bit too granola for my tastes. We got seated at the long table...

This restaurant offers a fabulous fusion to common place items. We attended a beer pairing event and everything offered was delightful, well prepared and a treat. The ambiance is trendy and fun. I would certainly try this place, if you get an opportunity.
You have now idea how a pork chop after being brined can taste so good. They have very unique appetizers! Good products from local farmers. Imaginative food preparation but still down to earth Great wine and beer selection. But the serve only brown colored liquors. So no gin or vodka. Small but comfy.
Do not allow first impressions deter you from eating at Black Market. It is located in an old brick building where I-70 cuts off Massachusetts Ave. The interior is delightfully rustic with exposed brick and lovely wood. An outstanding wine list accompanies an ever changing menu based on locally available produce and meat. Our server was friendly and answered all...

Indianapolis has recently blossomed with new and exciting restaurants. Black Market is one of them. It is not a place to filll up on standard fare and starchy foods. You gotta go there when you want something special. The restaurant appears to satisfy the theater crowd (lots of people running around in black - lol). It is a trendy restaurant...
