When you come dine with us, this is what you'll experience... A little history, a lot of art, and above all incredible food! Our goal at The Library is to delight you with the very best foods and the very best service we can provide. Our specialty is fine steaks and exceptional food that is freshly prepared by our very talented kitchen team. We offer an extensive dinner menu including steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta, salads, and vegetarian dishes. At lunch, a bountiful, freshly-prepared salad, soup and pasta bar is offered along with a wide variety of sandwiches and daily specials. All our cuisine is only complimented with our extensive wine selection. We are located in a beautiful building, which once was the Mon Reve, an exclusive French restaurant built by the late Lou Jenn (founder of Jenn-Air) almost three decades ago. Fortunately, much of the building's grandeur has been retained for us to enjoy, from Venus' Fountain and rose garden, restored vintage crystal chandeliers, beautiful woodwork, and classical oil paintings. Recently, we have added a large patio for our guests to enjoy the outdoors, we have opened our beautiful "Upstairs at The Library" for banquets, private dining, and business meetings, and we have recently opened our beautiful new bar, complete with large screen TV's and original oil paintings of Indy's favorites - the Colts, Indy 500, Brickyard 400, and Moto GP. We look forward to serving you.

Nice bar

Amy the bartender was friendly and fun. We had good wine and appetizers as well as a great French onion soup. Casual and comfortable.

I would like to take this opportunity to say kudos to The Library Restaurant and Pub the bartender Eric for outstanding customer service. On my trip to Indy I had a choice of restaurants to dine and I chose this location for my dining experience. When visiting a restaurant, I primarily visit for the ambiance and of course the food!... Filet Mignon was dry, green beans were undercooked and warm. Bread and baked potato were great and the carrot cake back in the room was very tasty.

Hello there, I'm incredibly sorry about your filet being on the dry side. Being one of the most tender cuts we have, it's not a good thing when that's not the aspect that shines through. If you ever visit again, I'd love to get the chance to make it up to you as I'm confident we can do much better... More

I was recently in Indianapolis with some friends for Indy Pole day. We were staying out at Exit 11. After returning from the track we really did not want to have to drive a long way to have diner. We ask at our hotel and the Lady at the desk said we should try a place just down the street... More

The Library Restaurant and Pub near the INDY airport is a wonderful place to have a nice meal. Prices are VERY Reasonable (comparitive to Outside Indiana) and the Quality Outstanding. We had Roasted Romaine, Walleye, Garlic Mashed, Green Beans and Vegies. The dessert Venus Delight is delicious for all you ice cream and caramel lovers. Service was Excellent. "Star" said... More

After being recommended by a co worker, we decided to celebrate my wife's birthday and our 31st wedding anniversary May 5th at the Library and so happy we did. We started out with the Sampler appetizer which was a great start to one of the most amazing dinner. We both chose the prime rib and all I can say is... More

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. The main dining room is large and lacks ambiance. Our server was nice and attentive. The food was plentiful and wasn't bad but wasn't particularly special. Overall, we didn't think it was worth the price.

Deborah, I'm sorry to hear that your experience was less-than-stellar this last time around. We're used to getting good reports, so I wish we did have a little more detail about what the food, in particular, was lacking. If you would like to offer that to me, please shoot me an email at ajna@thelibrary-indy.com, so I can get some feedback.... More

The meals I enjoyed were all very good, both in quality and the presentation. What really set it off for me was the staff. On a business trip, for a few days near there location and decided to check the place out. Spent most of my time in the bar area and thoroughly enjoyed the staff, especially Amy. She was... More

John, I absolutely love hearing about when our team goes above and beyond to delight our guests. Amy is definitely a great example of that -- we get praise for her a lot! If you're ever back in Indy on business again, of course, we'd love to have you back for another visit, good sir. All the best, Ajna Morrow More

I found myself at one of the airport hotels, and this was one of two restaurants I could walk to. I'm on a very restrictive diet, so I limited myself to soup and salad. The soup du jour was a mushroom truffle (also included potato) and was warm and delicious. Looking at the available salads, I chose the House side... More
