When you come dine with us, this is what you'll experience... A little history, a lot of art, and above all incredible food! Our goal at The Library is to delight you with the very best foods and the very best service we can provide. Our specialty is fine steaks and exceptional food that is freshly prepared by our very talented kitchen team. We offer an extensive dinner menu including steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta, salads, and vegetarian dishes. At lunch, a bountiful, freshly-prepared salad, soup and pasta bar is offered along with a wide variety of sandwiches and daily specials. All our cuisine is only complimented with our extensive wine selection. We are located in a beautiful building, which once was the Mon Reve, an exclusive French restaurant built by the late Lou Jenn (founder of Jenn-Air) almost three decades ago. Fortunately, much of the building's grandeur has been retained for us to enjoy, from Venus' Fountain and rose garden, restored vintage crystal chandeliers, beautiful woodwork, and classical oil paintings. Recently, we have added a large patio for our guests to enjoy the outdoors, we have opened our beautiful "Upstairs at The Library" for banquets, private dining, and business meetings, and we have recently opened our beautiful new bar, complete with large screen TV's and original oil paintings of Indy's favorites - the Colts, Indy 500, Brickyard 400, and Moto GP. We look forward to serving you.

At least once per visit to Indy!

Last year we ate here at least twice. This year we only made it in once, but you have to go here when Indy. Steaks, seafood, full bar. They handle groups easily.

We were staying at a hotel near by and was looking for a nice place to have a dinner. I saw The Library recommended on Trip Advisor and we decided to give it a try. I started my meal with a Wedge Salad which was delicious and almost a meal in itself. As our entrees, my husband and I both... More

Staying in a nearby hotel. Found on Trip advisor. Hotel provided coupon for free desert. Ordered Prime Rib, French Onion soup and a local bottled IPA. My waiter Matthew was attentive and knowledgeable. Prime Rib was done as requested and had a good taste. Soup was also good. I would recommend this restaurant to another staring in the area. Thank... Staff was attentive from the time we walk in through the time we walked out. Food was a bit pricy but was excellent.

As soon as we walked in the door we were impressed with the decor and ambiance of The Library. Then our waitress (is that still politically correct?) Amy came to our table. She was very personable, helpful and just the right amount of funny! Our drinks were made to perfection (chocolate covered cherry, bloody Mary and a strawberry daquari), salads... More

The staff was welcoming as we walked in the door and our waiter was always in the right place at the appropriate time. I had the Chicken Marcela which was very tasty and my husband had the Shrimp Creole pasta which had large shrimp and was good. We topped it off with deserts - creme burulee & stuffed brownie both... I'm thrilled you enjoyed your food and service so much -- I do wish the decor would have been more to your liking, though. We get comments about it sometimes, so your feedback is definitely helpful in adding to the consensus. As I've been known to say, we rather enjoy the elegant touch with an otherwise casual nature, but of... More

This is neighborhood bar and grille located in an elaborate building that originally was a fine French restaurant. The staff is pleasant and food ok but it all seems out of place in the setting. Located near airport hotels so it suffices for a meal and drink.

Sue, I'm glad you had a good experience whenever you came to dine with us, but I do wish our decor and atmosphere would have impressed you a little more. Granted, the interior may seem sparse, but we believe it holds an elegant appeal while still remaining somewhat casual. Thank you for your feedback -- it does help to know... More

Last year, we had dinner there the night before the race. It was packed and the dinner and service was great. I knew something was up this year when we stopped by on May 23rd, the night before the 2015 race. The parking lot was pretty empty and only a few people inside. The service was slow and prime rib... I'm really sorry to hear this. We pride ourselves on an excellent standard of service here, including our famous prime rib, and it's disappointing to know we didn't live up to the expectations you've come to have for us. I know you said you only get to visit about once a year, but if you ever are back in the... More

I would like to take this opportunity to say kudos to The Library Restaurant and Pub the bartender Eric for outstanding customer service. Keonna, thanks so much for coming to share your experience. Filet Mignon was dry, green beans were undercooked and warm. Bread and baked potato were great and the carrot cake back in the room was very tasty.

Hello there, I'm incredibly sorry about your filet being on the dry side. Being one of the most tender cuts we have, it's not a good thing when that's not the aspect that shines through. If you ever visit again, I'd love to get the chance to make it up to you as I'm confident we can do much better... More
