When you come dine with us, this is what you'll experience...

A little history, a lot of art, and above all incredible food!

Our goal at The Library is to delight you with the very best foods and the
very best service we can provide. Our specialty is fine steaks and
exceptional food that is freshly prepared by our very talented kitchen team.
We offer an extensive dinner menu including steaks, seafood, chicken,
pasta, salads, and vegetarian dishes. At lunch, a bountiful, freshly-prepared
salad, soup and pasta bar is offered along with a wide variety of sandwiches
and daily specials. All our cuisine is only complimented with our extensive wine selection.

We are located in a beautiful building, which once was the Mon Reve, an
exclusive French restaurant built by the late Lou Jenn (founder of Jenn-Air)
almost three decades ago. Fortunately, much of the building's grandeur has
been retained for us to enjoy, from Venus' Fountain and rose garden, restored
vintage crystal chandeliers, beautiful woodwork, and classical oil paintings.
Recently, we have added a large patio for our guests to enjoy the outdoors,
we have opened our beautiful "Upstairs at The Library" for banquets, private
dining, and business meetings, and we have recently opened our beautiful
new bar, complete with large screen TV's and original oil paintings of Indy's
favorites - the Colts, Indy 500, Brickyard 400, and Moto GP.

We look forward to serving you.

We met with friends this past weekend at The Library after picking the spot from Trip Advisor ironically... It was half way between our two home locations. We spent roughly 3.5 hours with drinks, appetizers, and dinner. We made sure to give fair warning to the greet staff and our waitress Amy that we would be there an extended time.... More

I had the French onion soup and the Mongolian Beef. Both recommended by my server Amy. Portions of the soup and Beef were ample and Amy's attention to my needs was perfect! I will be back next time I'm in town!

This was our second trip to the Library, but definitely won't be our last! We have been to Sullivan's, St. Elmo's and other higher end restaurants in the Indianapolis area. As we ate dinner, we decided that the Library will be our "go to" place for a nice dinner when we visit the area. We live about an hour away,... More

I couldn't be happier reading this! It's a delight knowing that we can impress each and every time -- your choices on the meal definitely don't hurt either. I'm personally very proud of our prime rib, and it truly doesn't get much better than one of the best you've ever had. Of course, I look forward to seeing you both... More

Worst meal ever at The Library. Everything was off. Even the usually good Italian Mushrooms were off. I had the Black and Blue New York Strip and it was not even edible, I literally could not eat any of it for the grizzle and toughness. I use to love this place. They better get their act together or they won't... More

Guy, This is seriously concerning to hear. We don't often get feedback saying we completely dropped the ball, so I am hoping this was a one-off experience that we can bounce back from with flying colors. If your steak is ever as you described, please let us know and our team will get it fixed immediately for you. Feel free... More

I was stuck at the Marriot Airport which is an absolute wasteland. I asked if there were any non chain restaurants of high quality nearby. The Library was highly recommended and I agree. Nothing too special on the menu but everything I had was above average including a Pinot by the glass. The wait staff was fabulous especially Amy who... More

I got the steak salad. It was excellent. Eric, the pub bartender was very nice. All of the patrons were out of towners in Indy on business and he made us all feel comfortable and found common ground for us to all have a conversation - it was fun!! Thanks, Eric! I will be back tomorrow night.

While home on vacation I found this little gem through a suggestion by a friend. What a great suggestion. While sitting at the bar we met Eric, who turned a good day into a great evening. His recommendations were on point, only to be surpassed by his personality. Eric truly is an invaluable asset to this restaurant!

There is a nice dining room and a bar area with slightly different atmospheres. The food was all very good. There are only certain days of the week that prime rib is available, so if that is what you want you need to check if it's available the day you are going.

On a Tuesday I visited with a couple working with me on a building in the area...their 10 year old son accompanied. Waiter was very adept at keeping the soft beverage and coffee refilled. Buttery, lightly garlic flavored, complimentary rolls were the hit of the meal. Adults had salmon, prime rib and strip steak, all cooked as requested and flavorful.... More
