Great authentic Ethiopian food, in a nicely decorated space with travelogue posters and decorative baskets. Clean and neat. One owner is Ethiopian and the other is Eritrean, hence the dual offerings. We were traveling through Indianapolis and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. It was 2 miles from our hotel and lived up to it's 5 star rating. The owner was happy to help us with the menu and when she learned it was our first time there she brought us seconds of what we liked.

This title is slighly joking, but Ethiopean food is meant to be eaten with your hand (use the right hand only!) using the thin bread provided. My wife and I got the lamb combo and enjoyed it a lot, though the one spicy item was perhaps a bit too spicy for her. Portions may look small, but are not--you eat... More

It felt like an African version of the cheezy Mexican restaurant. The food was tasty, but the lack of utensils is uncomfortable if you are not expecting that. They did have them if you ask, though.

The outside of the building is nothing special and the decor is eccletic but interesting. The lack of eating utensils was very strange. The food was tasty, but spicy.

Neither of us were familiar with true authentic Ethiopian food so it was an experience to say the least! The appetizers were very tasty and filing somewhat. The main meal was extremely good. The presentation alone is just something you would not expect. The food comes on a very large plate which is covered by a large piece of bread... More

This restaurant seems truly authentic Ethiopian food, which I'd never had before but was excellent. The menu is extensive, the hardest part was picking just a few things! The location seems a bit rough, but inside the restaurant it was comfortable, nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the service was great. It took a bit more time to... More

Luggage didn't arrive on the same plane as my son, so we had some time to kill near the airport. A quick look at TripAdvisor showed that this place was rated well and very nearby, so we decided to try it out. We arrived at an off hour - 1:30 or 2 pm - so it wasn't crowded but there... More

Went for lunch. Very clean the glasses sparkled. Staff exceptionally friendly and attentive. The show you that the appreciate your business. I had the vegetarian platter and my business associate had the meat platter. Both were delicious and both of us had no left overs. We had the cabbage and carrot zambussa for starters. Outstanding. Don't be put off by... More

Where to begin!? This little out of the way restaurant serves up delicious food in huge potions, and provides service with a smile. The family owned restaurant provides Eritrean (East Africa) food that can be ordered spicy or mild. Most meals are served on a large pancake like flatbread called injera. Our waitress, the owner's wife, was so charming and... More
