Excellent Moroccan food in Naptown

I took my 7 year-old daughter to try Moroccan food and we loved it. I have been to Morocco and the food at Saffron Cafe was mostly authentic and very fresh and tasty. They have a decent wine list and the service was excellent. We had lamb honey and lamb tagine and both were great. The hummus... read more

The food is good but you have a 50/50 chance of them having your car towed for their own gain along with Last Chance Towing which is right behind them. Avoid this scam unless u take a cab, the bus or bicycle

Took my daughter and her best friend out for dinner at Saffron Café. The waiter was very attentive and informative (our first time) and made great suggestions like the Moroccan Hot Tea- delicious. We ordered the Saffron Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp, the Shawarma (Gyro) sandwich plate, and the Tajine Tanjiya. Everything was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. We took some... More

We went there as we wanted a change from the American fare that we were almost having everyday and it was a pleasant surprise. The servers (waiting staff) were friendly and the restaurant had an exotic look and feel about it. We were well explained about the food and choices and were given recommendations. Even through we wanted to try... More

We came for a quick but good lunch. We began preparing our palates with honeyed lemonade. (Can I make this at home?!) Then we all shared an antipasto plate, a Couscous Royal and a Tajine Lamb with honey. I loved every bite and just want to go back to try to enjoy other and heavier dishes for dinner. Ben was... We had no idea exactly what Moroccan food really was but were feeling adventurous. The reviews we read convinced us to try it and we were so glad we did! Everything was delicious! Staff was super nice and outgoing. It's small inside and very cozy.

I've never experienced Moroccan cuisine except in Morocco. This place was excellent. It was a little pricy but the food wine and service was fabulous. We wil be back for the lamb and seafo.

Went to Saffron Café yesterday for the first time after reading good reviews about it. I had the Couscous Royale which as per menu should have a "medley of carrots, zucchini, green peppers, turnips, red potatoes, cabbage, herbs and spices tossed with couscous". The medley of veggies I had consisted of peas, chickpeas, carrots and onions. A sauce was offered... More

The actual door you go in is on the street side. The other doors are painted on Parking that is legal is on the back side of the restaurant. If you park where it seems like the logical place to park, You WILL be towed. Daughter is the one who introduced us to Moroccan cuisine. The atmosphere is fun, the... More

This restaurant was suggested to us and ended up a great suggestion! We had a show to attend at the Murat Theatre and the location is a perfect block and a half away! The menu features a variety of items, able to attend to any dietary restrictions. We ordered the pastillo as a starter and it was wonderful. I had... More
