Excellent breakfast, brunch or lunch restaurant

I regularly eat here with my kids, my husband, or my friends, and it's consistently good. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious, and it's much nicer than most cafes available in the area. I wish they were still open for dinner and evening desserts too. You could bring anyone here and... read more

Very good breakfast and lunch selections, but the breakfast grub is way over priced. I know one usually pays more of quality, but there are a number of restaurants in the downtown area that have great selections (breakfast and lunch) that are more reasonable. Servers offers out of towners a glimpse of Indy's hipster scene, and they are very good... More

If you're looking for French or bistro fare in Indianapolis, this isn't it. If you're looking for a trendy atmosphere of shabby chic, then you'll like it here. The $11 glass of champagne was a disappointment (my $7.50 BOTTLE of wine from Whole Foods was better), the food was fresh but certainly not outstanding for the price and the just... More

I quite enjoy this restaurant. It is not mainstream and offers an excellent variety of brunch and dinner fare. I have never had a bad meal there. Some of my favorite things: the duck fat pommes frites, omelettes of all sorts, Steak Frite Bavette, the Petite Chou burger (it has brie, caramelized onions, and mushrooms), brussells sprouts crisps, the chicken... The food was very good. The variety was not huge but enjoyed what they served and the nice sized portions. The coffee is self serve but in an awkward place. The decaf was outstanding. I was told that the 2 regular choices were very strong. The tables are on the small side do not a lot of elbow room. We... More

Met friends for a quick traveling-thru-Indy-visit. Loved the ambience and outdoor seating. I'm on a detox diet at the moment and they were able to accommodate me! The server was attentive and the omelettes were good. Will be back next time through.

We visited on a business trip... I love searching out local "French" joints when I travel. The menu is European inspired, with something to please every palate. Our first visit was so great that we came a second time on our way out of town. Our first meal was the croque madame with fruit and an omelette. While dining I... More

So I thought Cafe' Patachou downtown was my favorite breakfast place in Indy, until I tried Petite Chou in Broad Ripple. Loved the quaint French café feel. The food was equally as good and the breakfast champagne selection is wonderful (highly recommend the French 75). The only thing I don't like about this location is the same thing I don't... More

My favorite French in Indy. Not extravagant but bistro style. Conveniently located in Broad Ripple village. My salmon on salad was cooked to perfection - i.e. very lightly. My wife had the salmon as main course which she returned for an additional 1 minute cooking. But not a problem, a question of individual taste.

Been here several times now and always a first class experience. The servers are alway so friendly and the food so fresh. The menu choices are extensive and different! The coffee is great and you can grab a mug even if waiting in line outside at the weekend. Love to sit outdoors here and there is extensive open air seating.... More
