Based on the reviews we decided to book a spot at this restaurant mid week, just in case. I'm glad we did. The place is popular and deserves to be. The place is similar to the experience we had in Italy. Busy, no nonsense and tasty Italian fare. For those who read our reviews you know that we tell it... More

We chose this place today for celebrating our anniversary, as friend's Italian chef husband suggested. We ordered pasta pizza and steak and of course the desert, all dishes are good sized and tasted very delicious like what most of royal customers described " the food is like Italian mama's cooking". Although I've never been Italy so far but I guess... More

We have been driving past this little place for years and never gone in. So we decided to try it out and glad we booked as it is a very busy little place. All the tables were booked and when one left there was always another table full of people coming in. The menu has a wide range of different... More

When we arrived the restaurant was completely full. We asked if there were any free tables and they said if we waited a few minutes we could have a reserved table that hadn't been taken. The food was excellent, it couldnt of been better, and the staff were polite. I would certainly go there again in the future.

Have been coming here for almost 15 years and it never disappoints, unless the restaurant runs out of mussels in red wine tomato sauce. The restaurant has remained the same for all these years. Doesn't pretend to be flash, or hi-so, just down to earth stable Italian cuisine. Seats about 30 people & has remained the same size as the... More

Packed restaurant several large tables with families always a good indication that food is going to be good. Indication was correct! Lots to choose from Pasta and Pizza plus staples Veal and Chicken. 4 deserts plus espresso. BYO so helps make a more affordable night. Attentive service. The only complaint would be tables are a little too close together. Would... More

We always have a great night out at the Filicudi. This week was no exception, my asparagus fritti with a Gorgonzola sauce was delicious and the barramundi beautifully cooked. Full marks for serving desert wine by the glass. A great little restaurant.

I took my husband here for his birthday dinner. The restaurant was completely booked out on a Tuesday night and the atmosphere was nice. The wait staff were great and very accommodating helping me with my pram and toddler. The food was traditional and simple but absolutely delicious exactly the way you want Italian food to be. They had a... More

Filicudi is an institution in Sydney's inner west having traded for 40+ years. This is a restaurant of original Italian dishes at reasonable prices served by pleasant wait staff. All the old favourites here. No fancy "modern" slants, just good solid meals. Blackboard specials are the best way to go. These often include perfectly cooked spatchcock served with a generous... We have been visiting this little gem for approx 26 years and it is as excellent today as it was back on 1986. The food is wonderful and service and pricing very very good
