I stopped in alone fairly late one evening while in the area on business. What first struck me was the interior was spectacularly decorated. An old house turned into an attractive, compact sushi place. The server, who I suspect was at least the manager, if not the owner was an absolute peach. She made me feel instantly welcome, and really... More

Sushi wasn't terrible by any means but I've had better. Little pricey compared to their competitors. Miso soup was edible but again, have had much better. The Debbie roll was my favorite. Just a warning tho.. The owner has a very different personality so don't get offended the way I did when they asked us to leave since we were... More

Having visited all three of the major players for Sushi in Greenwood in past week, Yokohama is the hands down favorite for the freshest most creative selection of sushi rolls and salad. Well worth the splurge and higher end price for the special rolls. They are huge rolls stuffed with ingredients. Great to share. Debbie will make whatever variation you... More

I'll admit I'm a bit of a sushi snob. I like my sushi to look and taste very very fresh or I won't eat it. Yokohama NEVER disappoints! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The staff is absolutely wonderful. In fact, I love to go for lunch and sit at the sushi bar just to chat and enjoy the... More

We initially came here to learn how to make sushi. We bought our kids (older teens) gift certificates to learn the art of sushi making, and they went, along with my husband. It is a gift that we have since given several times- birthdays, Christmas, etc. so that they can complete the "course" and be official sushi chefs. Debbie made... More

Debbie has done wonders with this place since the change of ownership . We have not been here in some time as it is rather expensive for a large family. No mistake the sushi is fabulous. The rolls are expensive but huge. Probably almost double the size of a typical sushi bar. I guess that makes up for the 17-18... More

The 4 of us enjoyed a variety of dishes from their extensive menu. Everything was prepared as requested and presentations were commendable. Yokohama is easily passed by and from the street does not lokk like a restaurant, but the large bright sign gives it away. The immediate neighborhood reminded us of Bloomington, IN the home of IU and many smallish... More
