Upscale restaurant in a small town. In the basement of old library .....nice atmosphere for dinner except dark - could use a little more light. Pianist a nice touch. Very pleasant service -accommodating. A bit slow initially but then excellent service. Limited menu, expecially if looking for a light dinner. Expensive ($23-35/entree). Not for children. Steak with stuffed potato and... More

Chef Ian is a master! Salmon and asparagus done to perfection. Fresh salad greens artistically arranged and prepared fresh from Chef's garden. Definitely have the red pepper soup, outstanding. My husband loved the mushroom soup and the beef medallions. Wine choices were very good. Great choices for desert. I had the rhubarb compote over homemade gelato. My husband had the... More

I first fell in love with the atmosphere. Chef Ian was very personable. Our reception dinner was delicious. My husband loved the dessert. I had multiple guests ask me how I found this place and they couldn't wait to come back. My neighbors even want to have their sons reception at Carnegie's. Thank You Carnegie's for a great dinner and... More

Food was excellent as was presentation. They have a good wine list, assortment of microbrews and cocktails. We had Beef Tenderloin Medallions which were very good. Service was very good but we thought noise level was a little loud because of poor acoustical treatment. Very surprised to see quality of this restaurant in a small town.

Our impression of Carnegie's is two-fold. The food is excellent and well prepared but extremely overpriced. The restaurant is located in the basement and none of us enjoyed eating in this environment. The tip was calculated for us and expected, although the service was average. We will not be going to Carnegie's again.

This restaurant is in the basement of the old library. It is tastefully decorated and feels intimate. I think this is the only time we have ever had a manhattan that was perfect. Our waitress prepared them and we were impressed. Our salads came with the romaine leaves standing on end and wrapped in a thin slice of cucumber. When... More

I was at Riley Days and very pregnant and could not find a restroom and they refused to let me in. I spent several thousand $ there 10 years ago for a reception (they did not let us decorated until the morning of the wedding!) and they could not find it in their hearts to help out a pregnant woman.... Great place to escape the loud dining scene. Wonderful fresh food prepared simply. Consistency is key! Top notch friendly professional service every time. Would love to have the piano or guitar back again if possible. Ian and staff make your dining experience special. Thank you for staying so committed to your values. Greenfield and the surrounding communities applaud your efforts!!!

It is clear that the chef's in Carnegie's are proud of their work. I've been to the restaurant for work engagements (used upstairs area for cocktail reception) and also on date nights with my boyfriend (downstairs). The environment downstairs is cozy and intimate. The staff is top notch. Each time we've visited the restaurant for dinner, the chef has personally... More
