The location is quiet and residential even though it is situated just a few yards off of State Highway 15. The decor is nice if predictable. The wait staff was attentive. Our sandwiches were alright to good. Two ice cream sodas were refreshing, although ice cream soda making is mostly a lost art I think. Overall, this was a pleasant... More

Like others, led to the South Side Soda Shop by its appearance on DDD/Food Network. Waste of time and money. The place is cute at first glance--50s diner all the way...but upon a closer look, the place is dirty and unkept. Tablecloths and menus were our first sign that things were dirty. We ordered traditional diner fare and the food... More

We stopped here because it was on Diners Drive-ins & Dives tv show. About 15 miles off I80. If you're critical you can find things to complain about, but if you're looking for a decent diner meal that's what you'll get here. I ordered the chili Philly. The chili was home made, with typical egg noodles, topped with sour cream... More

Original signs and juke box and floor and all kinds of cool stuff. This is not a Happy Days set - it is original. Great diner food, great atmosphere, lots of friendly people inside and just hanging around outside catching up with friends and neighbors on a lovely summer night in a friendly town. Excellent, and I mean excellent, selection... More

A group of 12 of us went to this restaurant earlier today. The atmosphere is kitschy, kind of retro with the diner style exterior and booth seating. Would have been better had some 50s or 60s music been playing in the background. I ordered a cheeseburger with a "little" extra mayonnaise and extra pickles. It came out with what looked... More

We had a group of 16 for this historic place. It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We went there as this was a local hot spot about a block from Goshen College. Near Elementary school. The outside looked like a old diner and the inside had lots of Goshen banners on the walls with pictures etc. We made... More

Had the chance to swing thru this place for lunch while doing the Heritage Quilt Garden Trail. We saw that it was a DDD and it definately did not disappoint. Two of us had the BLT Special which was awesome..added swiss cheese and gaucamole to the traditional BLT... Hubby and friend had the Philly Cheeses Steak and said it was... More

Love this restaurant! It is an old school diner, so don't expect anything gourmet. The food is always yummy, the shakes are fantastic, and the pie selection is out of this world! The atmosphere is fun. Our daughters always request this restaurant if we tell them we are eating out. Staff is always fast and friendly. A few of the... More

If you want to take a trip back into time then this is the place for you!! I would suggest some of the food fare off the menu that you see on "Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives. The Philly steak and cheese is to die for and I mainly go for the Green Rivers which are hard to find anywhere. As... More
