The setting is nice, the food was okay. I think I expected more. My husband's fish was not cooked through and my dinner was fine, but I expect more than fine when at a nice restaurant.

We didn't have a reservation but they were very accommodating. Our experience was great from start to finish. The house bread is very good. I had the chef's special chilean sea bass and my husband had the filet mignon. Both were very good! The cherries jubilee was served flambé table side and is wonderful. The long stem rose at the... They did accommodate a late reservation as it was my birthday. The table was set in the very back next to the servers area adjacent to the food preparation area. We ordered Caesar Salad, Filet Mignons, one medium and one medium well, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Spinach. The medium well was well done the medium was rare. After I... More

I've eaten here before and it never disappoints. We had steaks which were outstanding. The expereince is worth the extra money.

GREAT FOOD but it is more expensive then places like Manny's and Ruth Chris...I guess if you win big then you eat here. It was empty when I was there...quality of wine is low for a high end restaurant. Lots of choices just not great choices...servers/bartenders are nice people!

Food was out of this world. Waitress treated us like royalty. Had our own private dining area since it was our anniversay.

We for our 30th Anniversary, the service was terriable. We got seated by the kitchen and when asked to move were sat next to the bar, which was very noisy. The bar should be moved away from everyone trying to enjoy dinner. Got a Cesar salad, which consisted of about 10 romine stalks that you have to cut yourself for... More

Having previously been big fans of 1875, we planned on having a nice romantic dinner there. His meal came out way before mine arrived and he was finished long before my meal appeared. The wait staff suffers because the kitchen doesn't have its act together. Management didn't seem to care. We will think twice before dining here again.

Came on a Friday evening @ 8:30 pm. Seated promptly. Started with the chopped salad. $11. It was just ok. Loved the poppyseed dressing. Wish I had ordered the wedge, looked delicious. Next came our steak the filet mignon ( petite) very tasty & cooked well done. Just the way I asked . The sides are separate so choose wisely.... More

We celebrated Christmas with a family trip to West Baden and a pre-Christmas meal at 1875. Our meals - 6 adults and 2 children - were wonderful and the service was spectacular. Highlight of the meal - Mimi, our beautiful server, took our youngest grandchild, age 5, with her, gave him a chef hat and long stem red roses which... More
