I had fried tenderloin sandwich and it was thin and could have been a little more tender. It was huge. Fries & fried pickles were good. Service good. Quiet rustic atmosphere. They close at 7 during the winter.

The restaurant itself is a little bit of a dive, but it seemed to be clean for as old as it was. The food was excellent! I had chili and grilled cheese and hubby had the taco salad. Good food, great price, and the staff was friendly.

We stopped in for breakfast while in town for the Block Bash. Server was really friendly and helpful with the menu. Food was good. I seen where they had a buffet later in the day but we did not get back for that.

we had a friendly waitress, homey feel, but real slow. It is definitely best value around. Close to hotels.

Local coffee shop on main road between French Lick and West Baden. Basic diner menu options including burgers, seafood, meat loaf, BBQ. Ample seating. Average prices, service, portions and food taste. Expecting "home made" cooking but got more 'greasy spoon." Daily specials. "Old timey" decor accents.

Down home diner with "real" fried potatoes for breakfast. The potatoes make or break my breakfasts out. Overall very good breakfast.

...just plain cooking! nothing fancy! but pies were good...I had the Rhubarb Cream pie which was good but would have been better at room temperature and not direct from cooler... Home fries were good but veggies were just from can... Good service...seems to attract locals which is usually good... Would go back if in the area.

The frickles (fried pickles) were good. Not too much breading and not too much pickle. The fried mushrooms were OUTSTANDING. The pulled pork was good, but nothing special. The tenderloin was obviously not freshly breaded...but of a frozen variety. It was ok, but not somewhere that is a must visit. The waitress was extremely friendly!

I was here on 4/7/13 a Sunday morning for breakfast with a bunch of fishing buddies after a weekend of fishing and a couple of cups of adult Kool Aid. The menu has all of the classic breakfast selections. The prices are very reasonable also. Coffee cup never got more than half empty. I choose the Rowboat special two eggs,... More
