Our dinner restaurant only had one slice of chocolate cake left, and the unlucky couple that ordered it missed out on the group's decision to go to Ritter's when it was discovered that my husband and I had never been. The concoction I had was the best "custard" (ice cream to me) that I have ever had! Just terrific! Service... More

the Franklin Ritters has been at the same location for over 20 years. The customer service and management are both excellent. Skip the Yogart and national chains Ice Cream spots and go to Ritters! The quality is much better for the same cost.

Ritter's has an excellent product line. I've had their shakes, sundaes and cones over the years. They call it frozen custard and it is very rich and creamy. Tonight we had two of their flavors of the day, Heath bar and butter pecan and they were both very good. Ritter's was not intended to provide inside seating so as far... More

We love Ritter's! Our three and five year old girls beg us to go there. There's something special about the creaminess of the custard. My favorite is the Snickers concrete mixer, and my wife usually gets one of the flavors of the day. Sometimes we take our dog with us, and get her a "pup cup." She loves it, too!

SO yummy! I would definitely come again! The flavors were very good! My grandma, my mom and I both walked to the stand!

The best ice cream ever. I was so happy when they opened one in Katy, within 15 miles of my house. It's a must if you have never tasted their frozen custard. It's my understanding that the Ritters in Franklin is the original!

Ritters is wonderful in all ways, they have great customer service, excellent custard treats and a clean place to eat. But this is not a restaurant. It is an outdoor ice cream (custard) building with some picnic tables set up to eat at. We would highly recommend this if you want cool treats, but don't go here for a meal... More

Ritters originated in Franklin, IN in the late 1980s and is now franchised in several states. The wonderful owners are John & Bonnie Ritter. Vanilla & Chocolate custard are still our "go-to" flavors, but The Turtle Somet'in and Fresh Banana are great too. The flash frozen containers are a good buy if you plan to carry-out and I don't hesitate... More

I'm a local emt and there is nothing better than ritters in the middle of a tough day. Everything is delicious. Even the old standard vanilla is amazing.
