Had Sunday brunch here a week ago and this past Saturday had dinner before seeing the show at the Artcraft Theatre. As always the food was excellent although we felt a bit nostalgic since the place is closing. Although the Joe passed away they managed to maintain the excellent dining experience. We dined here at least once a month since... More

I received an email from the Indigo Duck that said they are closing effective September 20, 2014, since both the owner and his brother have passed away and the owner's wife is stressed out running the place by herself. :-( That's a shame, because the food and service here are excellent, and to be such a small place they have... The ambience was nice, but the food was very average. The waiter (which could be the manager) was a bit pushy about the amount of dishes we ordered. No vegetarian dishes on the menu, but the chef did create something.

It was just OK. Service was not the best. I have had Sunday Brunch at this restaurant and it was very good, but the dinner in April was just mediocre.

While traveling...I overnighted in Franklin. What a charming town. My server, Nathan surprised me with great choices including the Deep Fried Tofu and the entreé featuring the Salmon. The Salmon was a very interesting twist...salmon with beets and egg atop a puff pastry. Good flavors..but disappointed that the puff pastry was a little soggy. I would definately return since I... Nicely decorated, good service, but my duck breast was dificult to chew. My friend had a similar experience with his beef.

Fine dining for a small town! We ate there on a Wednesday evening, and it was surprisingly lively. It was a fine dining experience that you don't need to dress up for. Prices were a little high for the portions, but the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the duck and my husband ordered the salmon. Both were served beautifully.... More

We had dinner at the Indigo Duck last evening. The Meal was fabulous the service excellent and the ambiance a delight. I had the duck and my wife the Scollops The flavors were "to die for" If I had to be critical it was a bit pricey, but worth every penny.

The Indigo Duck offers fine dining in a small town, intimate atmosphere. There is something for everybody on the menu from big steaks to small plate items for smaller appetites. We love the Crab Salad which served on avocado pancakes-Yum. The bar is small but offers complete service and the wine selection is quite nice. Our only complaint with "the... More

This restaurant has been open for several years, but I'd never tried it because it didn't suit my more "meat and potatoes" food preferences. But I went recently when a friend who loves it suggested we meet there for lunch. It's a very popular lunch and dinner choice for many local residents and also draws in people from Indianapolis and... More
