The burgers are okay, but they are quite small for the price you pay, and there is really more onion between the buns than hamburger. They do not offer fries as a side dish, only potato chips and thin chili. For a much better burger and much better value, drive a few miles down the road to Five Guys.

This is a little hole in the wall. Although I wouldn't rate it as a Best Burger joint, I'd rate it high as an "experience". Loved the abundant grilled onions on the grilled sliders; the desserts looked fantastic. The people that came in were "characters" that truly fit into the locale and the ambiance. We enjoyed the food and the... More

The menu is basic and the handmade sliders are great. Was out the door with a full stomach and satisfied taste buds for under $10. Most of the people in there when I was there were regulars who were all on a first-name basis.

We had the best cheeseburger sliders, loaded up. This is the best place around for quick burgers and awesome chili. I go out of my way just to go there, I would recommend Powers to everyone! 😀

Hands down the best slider on Earth. My dad would take us here when I was a kid and I take my kids here now! My record is 18 or 20…good luck!

Full Disclosure: My late father worked at Powers when he was a kid. It's a landmark in downtown Fort Wayne. I still love their burgers buried in fried onions (and they're four-bite burgers), but what really shines is their chili.

I and Powers were both "born" in 1940. My parents took me there on a regular basis in the 1940's and I still take my grandchildren there. It is the hamburger version of Coney Island, a must see for anyone passing thru Fort Wayne. Just follow your nose, you can smell the onions for blocks. The place is small, 1... More
