Business dinner with out of town guest

The resturant is a small place in a not so nice part of town. The mood is homey, small, with muted light, and nice music. The Italian menu is solid. The appetizer was a bit less than fresh, but the seafood ravioli was quite good. I travel to Italy every year, so I can say this is respectable... read more

You might think that I was related to Alex, the owner, by the time you're done reading. I assure you I'm not. He has owned and cooked at his restaurant since the late '70's and in my experience never misses a beat. But you do have to know what you're getting into. The place is tiny, easily missed if driving... More

This place is so well known but I think it has slipped a bit. Great atmosphere but I would have to say it is now just average. Still very crowned though.

From the outside it looks as if they could only seat about 10 people in there and it is far from upscale residing as it does on a busy industrial type road but don't be put off - run on in. Inside it is kitschy and quaint and dark and could be romantic with the right person. Traditional Italian made... More

dined here for the first time after friends suggested it over and over. I wish we hadn't of waited so long! The food was amazing, atmosphere quaint and warm and the service couldn't have been better. I had the salmon...perfectly seasoned and moist. I love salmon and am always disappointed when it is dry and covered in sauce. Not this... More

This is a quaint little restaurant set in a remodeled residence in a quiet area of Ft. Wayne. The food is good traditional Italian for the value. Be prepared to sit in a cramped hard-backed seat and wait. The service is painfully slow, and the staff acts like they are doing you a favor just to bring you a glass... More

We went on a Saturday night, with a group of people for a birthday party, They seated us in the back room which doubles as a dance floor, because when the chef comes out to sing, you will want to dance. The food was amazing, the pasta was homemade some of the best I have ever had anywhere. We are... More

It was very cramped. I was told they had authentic Italian food. It just tasted like American Italian food that every other place has.

If you like chain restaurant "Italian" and the normal dining experience then this is not the place for you. If you like real authentic Italian food and a great experience this is your place. I loved the atmosphere of the small house dining, the food was outstanding, and the service was good. Avoid the crap chain restaurants and support your... More

Let's step back in time somewhere between the 50's and 70's, when dinner houses ruled. The restaurant is small, therefore it's best to made reservations. Like the dinner houses of old, it's dark, not smoky, low hum from patrons talking, and loaded with the theme except somewhat over done. We were seated in the back room, little did we know... More
