We were squished into the back room at a tiny table but all four in our party loved the food and service.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Oyster Bar last Friday evening. As some have already noted, there is limited space so a reservation is recommended. The wait staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was terrific. The calamari appetizer was plenty large to share among several people and was one of the highlights of the... More

We were in the mood for some good seafood. This place has a nice atmosphere and the wait staff was very knowledgeable. The fried oysters were huge. The menu had a great variety of well prepared seafood dishes.would return if in Fort Wayne.

This place never fails me! They always have fresh seafood specials that deliver on taste and quality every time. The place is small with maybe 8 tables in their main dining area. There is seating at the small, cramped bar. And you actually have to go THRU the kitchen to get to a back more family-friendly, small dining area. They... More

I was in Ft Wayne for a business trip and read the reviews for The Oyster Bar and decided to give it a try. I love seafood and now I love this restaurant. It is small so I recommend go early or make a reservation. I started with the 1/2 order of mussels and clams. They were good but not... More

I can't rave enough about last night's dining experience at the Oyster Bar. Every item was 'the best of the best' that both my dining partner & I had ever tasted. Man, that chef can REALLY cook!!! We just wandered in about 7 with no reservations & snagged the last table... Outside. Previous reviewers were right, the place is tiny... More

We went there on a Friday night. I can't believe it has taken so long to try this place out. We started with fried oyster appetizer. Yum. I had the clam chowder. It was the best clam chowder I have ever had. Last week I went to the famous St. Elmo's in Indianapolis and had their lobster bisque. This clam... More

Had the chance to go to the Oyster Bar for the first time, always heard raves about it. It was early in the day about 11:15 and a friend of mine wanted to get an early lunch since we both had business calls to make early in the afternoon. We were the first ones in the door and welcomed promptly... More

What a great restaurant! We had a great dinner and ate lots of amazing Oysters. The Alaskan King Crab Legs were very good and so was the Lobster!!! :) I was impressed with how fresh the seafood was for a land locked smaller city. It made for a very pleasant romantic evening.

This restaurant has an interesting history dating to the 1800's. However, of more interest is the food, service and atmosphere. The food is ever great. I hate to confess a number of years since I had previously visited before end of May 2014. A mistake on my part. The Oyster Bar is a fairly small, let's say cozy, interior. You... More
