I can't rave enough about last night's dining experience at the Oyster Bar. Every item was 'the best of the best' that both my dining partner & I had ever tasted. Man, that chef can REALLY cook!!! We just wandered in about 7 with no reservations & snagged the last table... Outside. Previous reviewers were right, the place is tiny... More

We went there on a Friday night. I can't believe it has taken so long to try this place out. We started with fried oyster appetizer. Yum. I had the clam chowder. It was the best clam chowder I have ever had. Last week I went to the famous St. Elmo's in Indianapolis and had their lobster bisque. This clam... More

Had the chance to go to the Oyster Bar for the first time, always heard raves about it. It was early in the day about 11:15 and a friend of mine wanted to get an early lunch since we both had business calls to make early in the afternoon. We were the first ones in the door and welcomed promptly... More

What a great restaurant! We had a great dinner and ate lots of amazing Oysters. The Alaskan King Crab Legs were very good and so was the Lobster!!! :) I was impressed with how fresh the seafood was for a land locked smaller city. It made for a very pleasant romantic evening.

This restaurant has an interesting history dating to the 1800's. However, of more interest is the food, service and atmosphere. The food is ever great. I hate to confess a number of years since I had previously visited before end of May 2014. A mistake on my part. The Oyster Bar is a fairly small, let's say cozy, interior. You... More

As far as I can recall, I haven't eaten there before. I grew up near Fort Wayne, and was recently there on a visit to my family. My brother made the reservation. The restaurant's motto, "serious food in a casual atmosphere" is apt. Don't expect a quiet, romantic place. Tables are squeezed in. But the food is first rate. The... More

I love the Oyster Bar! The food, the atmosphere, the staff...all excellent. The restaurant is fine dining in a casual atmosphere, with people in jeans and t-shirts mixing with those in dress pants and button-ups. The restaurant itself is located in a turn-of-the-century Victorian house converted into a restaurant, which makes it very unique. The main dining room is small,... More

We have been going to the Oyster Bar in Fort Wayne, IN for nearly 20 years. It has been a positive experience every time. There are seats for maybe 50 people (+8 or 10 at the bar) and every seat was full last night. You'll need a reservation. Our wives went for crab legs and, unfortunately, they were out of... More
