I love the Oyster Bar! The food, the atmosphere, the staff...all excellent. The restaurant is fine dining in a casual atmosphere, with people in jeans and t-shirts mixing with those in dress pants and button-ups. The restaurant itself is located in a turn-of-the-century Victorian house converted into a restaurant, which makes it very unique. The main dining room is small,... More

We have been going to the Oyster Bar in Fort Wayne, IN for nearly 20 years. It has been a positive experience every time. There are seats for maybe 50 people (+8 or 10 at the bar) and every seat was full last night. You'll need a reservation. Our wives went for crab legs and, unfortunately, they were out of... More

Just a good meal... A nice intimate evening... Among my favorite places opinion Fort Wayne. The oysters are a must. Try the sampler for all the goodness. Chowder is delicious. The staff is pleasant. Space is small so a 4 top can get pretty crowded.

Incredible food and service in a small space. Much more than oysters!! The only place I know where you can split your entree order between two menu items. A favorite for sure!!

Wine list was okay. The menu was fun with a nice selection but the prices seemed pretty high, which elevated our expectations. The calamari app was very good. Unfortunately, everything else we had was not so good: the black bean spring rolls, tuna app, and two fish entrees (naked and plank) all missed with us. Maybe we hit an off-nite.... More

Admittedly, I am not a connoisseur of oysters, but these Chesapeake Bay beauties were clean, firm and flavorful, without being slimy. Served a half dozen to an order, they came with the obligatory cocktail sauce, lemon wedge and Tabasco. I began my evening with their Clam Chowder - a saltier version than I am used to, but loaded with flavor.... More

Having recently been to New Orleans and going to ACME there, I was reluctant to try these oysters. I did not want to be disappointed. However, these were absolutely great: fresh and huge! Wonderful clam chowder and bread to die for. A little expensive if you get dinner but very good.

Ate here with my brother who had lived in Ft. Wayne years ago. He remembered this place as exceptional. His memory was right on. We enjoyed as good a meal as I've ever had. These people can do seafood and I recommend this place to all. Enjoy!
