Good food & somewhat peaceful

You can get good food anywhere but finding a quiet restaurant where you can enjoy it is harder & harder. They play jazz, a little too loud but not bad. They serve red wine at the proper temperature, 60 degrees F. I have often been to fine restaurants that serve red wine much too warm. This was a... read more

Always have great food here, not ever been disappointed. My husband loves the oysters and I enjoy any seafood dish here.

Wow, triple cut lamb chops, the best I've ever had! German Chocolate Cake slice more than a foot high! If you haven't enjoyed the gourmet food at Peterson's, you are really missing out! Leave the kids at home though, no one under 21 admitted.

Peterson's was part of Northside Nights this year and we took advantage. The steaks were done to perfection and my salmon was very good. I liked the wine parings with each course. Our friends had the creme brulee cheesecake; husband had the best regular cre'me brulee' he has had in a long time. My selection was the Some-More flour-less chocolate... More

We visited the restaurant during Northside Nights despite having been warned that the quality and service have deteriorated over the past few years. We found this to be true. The portions were small and the entrees came with no side dish and the cut of meats were small. . My husband's salmon was not cooked all the way through and... More

We had reservations and were seated promptly. I've been to Petersen's before and you'd think it couldn't get any better, but it did. I went on my birthday. Service was prompt and courteous as usual. Our waiter, as were all the employees, were extremely friendly and helpful. Our waiter guided me into selecting the red trout, which is a must... More

The server was snooty and not helpful. The server made us feel like we were not good enough for the place. He did not let us know that there were no sides with entree and did not offer coffee with dessert. Small things but reinforced belief that we were not a priority with him. The food was good but service... More

We had 7 o'clock dinner reservations. Dinner wasn't completed until close to 10 pm. Took forever to get oyster apps, and then the order wasn't complete. After much complaining to the waiter, they finally appeared! There were 7 of us dining. Some had mediocre food. Others were not so lucky. Food is high priced, and the service and quality are not deserving... More

We've eaten here several times both just as a couple and with friends and have never been disappointed. A booth in the bar is our favorite and the high tops are perfect for a pre-dinner cocktail. The steaks are superb and being an oyster lover this appetizer is on sale every Monday. While primarily a steak house the menu is... More

We were at Peterson's on New Years Eve and had a wonderful dinner. Service was great as well. My wife and I Split the 14oz Fillet... cooked perfectly and no split fee ! Cream Spinach was great and the Blue Cheese Wedge Salad is one of the best you will ever have... They do it a little different with some... More
