Cajan Food in Indiana

Good place to try if you have a taste for some Cajun food. You won't think you are in New Orleans, but food is decent for a quick easy meal. Variety of dishes from which to choose. Order at the counter then you can eat in or carry out.

Great spot--and since there is no bar - you can BYOB!!! The dishes are mainly rice, beans and veggie or meat. You can have half of everything which makes it great-(means you get to try a lot of everything). Very comfortable and casual.

I've loved going to Yats on College Ave, the old one on Mass Ave (haven't been to the new one on Mass Ave yet), the one in Carmel, and this one. Let's get the bad out of the way first: we're in a strip mall and you can feel it in the atmosphere. You have the red and yellow trade... More

Great food. Great service. One of the best of the bunch. My entire family of five eats here now. The guys who run the place are people oriented and friendly. Give it a try!

Ordered the "Red Beans and Sausage". The dish should have been named "Red Beans". No exaggeration, there were 1.5 slices (1.5 bites at the most) of sausage in my full order. No joke. Highly disappointed for my first time at a restaurant that supposedly has a good reputation. The red beans and rice were suburb. But where was the sausage?... More

The Good: the people are excellent, the value is good, neat place, unusual The Bad: not tasty for me, seems cheap I want to like this place. They are popular and usually crowded. The ownership and servers are great and it's unusual. I found the food uninspiring. Most of it seemed cheap with low quality ingredients. It's not my favorite... More

Yat's is awesome. We go there all the time and usually get a big order for take out when there is a big winter sports event on TV. (Colts games, Hoosiers hoops ...) Nothing is better comfort food on cold days like chili cheese étouffée or their turkey pezole. Make sure to order extra bread too... Trust me you'll want... More

Not much more than a food stand in size but the food the create is fantastic, I had 1/2 order of Chili Cheese Etoufee with Crawfish and 1/2 order of Red Beans and Sausage over Rice and their French Bread and to wash it down I had their special label Creme Soda. I thought I was in NO in the... More

I have been going to Yats first in Broad Ripple, then on Mass Ave for years, and it WAS good food at a good price. Now, at least the one on 96th st., not anymore. The price is now too high for what you get, which is ok tasting faux cajun food, and not very much of it for the... More

If you are really hungry, maybe you will need 2 full orders $7 each one= $14 + tax doesn't include drink, 50% is rice plus 2 pieces of bred (carbs+carbs). The flavor is good, reach, different, warm. But for that price I sure I could eat in better place! as "Panera" or "Carrabba's" has special for $12, nice place, metal... More
