Suprised to find a good Sushi restaurant in Evansville Indiana

Several of us ate there and chose both the grilled selections and sushi. I tried some of each and enjoyed the sushi best. I was disappointed by two things 1. service was a bit in-attentive - but the restaurant was very busy and 2. they were out of quail eggs. Oh well it was still a good dining... read more

Greeted by goth-like hostess, not good first impression. We're no customers at 8pm thurs night not good sign, greeted by stale musty smell almost turned around. Ordered $30. Sushi combo was fresh and well prepared. Iced tea served in old plastic chipped cup another bad sign. This is a japanese style restaurant with non-japanese Unfriendly staff.

You have to love Japanese food to enjoy the food. My husband is a steak and potato man and about the only veggie he likes is broccoli. We went with friends, and if you are not a Japanese cuisine person the food was terrible. The dressing on the salad was made from "I don't know what". My husband ordered steak,... More

We travel to Evansville every year for a dog agility trial, and we always look forward to dining at Nagasaki. The food has always been first rate, and service is excellent.

Looking for an amazing evening of dinner with a bit of a show thrown in? Then Nagasaki is the place for you! Great for diners of all ages. The tables seat eight so don't be surprised if you end up having dinner with some strangers. The chef is also an entertainer, putting on a show while he cooks your dinner.... More

We had sushi here. The sushi was good. There was a nice variety and it was fresh. The service was not good. We were seated fairly quickly, but took at least 10 minutes for a server to come get our drink order. It took another 15 minutes to get the drinks (a coke, 2 beers and a mixed drink). It... More

Have been to Nagasaki a few times and thought I needed to finally contribute a review. The location on East Side of Evansville, Indiana is convenient and has ample parking. Ambiance of the restaurant is very inviting with large stone waterfall and fish pond with wooden bridge crossing into the dining rooms. Nagasaki offers a wide selection of traditional Japanese... When my wife and I want to celebrate, Nagasaki is where we go. We've ordered nearly everything they have over the years and have never been disappointed. Their sushi and salad dressing is amazing.

You read that title right! Even though most people come to Nagasaki for Japanese food, they also have a Korean menu that's quite good. There are no actual Korean restaurants in town, so when my wife and I have a craving for Korean food, we come here. The Dae Ji Bulgogi and Bibimbap are excellent, and they also serve ban... More
