We've enjoyed this restaurant for years, and visited when a business associate and friend was in town. The menu changes often which makes for a unique visit each time. Presentation is beautiful and the food is fresh and just delicious. This visit one of the sides was a brussel sprout hash - wow - For a fan if that vege... More

We ate at Madeleine's for dinner. It was recommended by a friend. It is absolutely wonderful from the moment you walk in. Having lived in larger cities, we were missing this very type of restaurant after moving to Evansville. The ambiance is wonderful- very quaint and hints of Europe. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We... More

We frequent Madeline's and love the whole experience from the friendly wait staff to eclectic dishes. The patio is a hidden treasier in Evansville! We enjoy the ever changing menu and the consistent items too like the espresso rubbed filet and lobster mac and cheese. You also will not be disappointed by the bar and wine selections as Tim keeps... More

Madeleine’s is a fusion restaurant combining French and Southern flavors. I stayed in Evansville two nights and I enjoyed my first meal here so much that I went back the next evening. It’s located in a former neighborhood store surrounded by several blocks of gorgeous 19th Century mansions in Evansville's Historic District. Just driving/walking in this neighborhood is a treat.... Wow, it's exciting that we inspired a repeat visit during your stay, Barbara! So happy to hear that you enjoyed the Historic District and decor in addition to your main courses -- the duck and tuna are always great choices. Hope the rest of your visit to Evansville was lovely, and we can't wait to have you back! All the... More

I was raised in Evansville in the 50s and 60s when F's Steakhouse was the only upscale restaurant in town. Recently, I was in town for a family visit and found Madeleine's on Trip Advisor. I am not a chain restaurant kind of guy and believe eating out should be something you normally wouldn't get at home. Madeleine's surprised me... More

Madeleine's is situated near downtown Evansville on a non-busy, quaint corner surrounded by historic apartments and houses. The building itself looks historic and has been converted into a restaurant. When we walked in we were delighted by its charm created with low, intimate lighting and jazz music. The staff were very accommodating and greeted us immediately. We had an 8:30... More

So happy to hear that your meal with us was delightful! It means a lot to us that you noticed and appreciated the small touches in flavor and decor -- and loved your fried shrimp and croissants as well. We look forward to welcoming you back the next time you're in Evansville. All the best, Tim, Owner More

This was our fourth visit. The steaks and seafood are very consistently outstanding. The aged steaks with espresso rub are as fine as you will find in the area. Sides are thoughtful, creative and flavorful. Will cook items to order. Lobster Mac and Cheese is OUTSTANDING comfort food and generously served. Save room for dessert. Service is consistently top-shelf! Beautiful... More

I eat all over the country as I travel for work. I will say paying almost $250 for 2....it better be exceptional. This meal was good but not worth this. $20 glass of wine? Small- mid size portions. This meal tasted and felt more like $100.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on Valentines Day. There was a preset menu @ $75 per person. The menu choices were great, however, the execution of each dish was mediocre at best. 1st course was shrimp cocktail & scallops w/ a lamb chop. The shrimp were not deveined. It was so not appetizing. The scallops was supposed... More

Madeline's is in a beautiful building in the historic area of town. The ambiance is far and away the best in town. Nice little bar with great martinis and the wine list is the best around.
