Great German Food and Beers and Ales, excellent wait staff, good atmosphere. Located near downtown on Franklin St across the street from the West side branch of the Evansville Libary

Wait staff was excellent. I never enjoy a meal here but was talked into tying it trey again. Kraut ball appetizer would probably have been good but come out raw inside. At a recommendation I did the catfish... Breaded well but still overal flavor was mediocre at best. Served with their homemade cornbread. One bite of that and I was... More

My wife and I go here about once every two weeks for lunch. If we are shopping on the west side of Evansville around lunch time, this is the place that we'll go to because we know the food is going to be good. We especially like the mete sausage and kraut plate lunch. I like the choices of German... More

Great decor and even greater food. I had wiener schnitzel, German potato salad and krout. Great meal. Heather was my server and did an outstanding job. I read on the net about 15 amazing restaurants in southern Indiana. This place was on the list and it did not disappoint.

It is wonderful to travel and dine in a place with lots of history, interesting atmosphere and good food! They have a great varied menu with a small steak dinner from around $10 to German specialties. You can pick your side dishes on entrees so you can order American with German side dishes or German with American sides like French... More

They have very good food both German and American. The Chocolate Sundae in a fish bowl is a good way to finish your dinner.

This former hardware store turned German dining hall is a great setting to have a terrific German meal. From brought worst to schnitzel everything you would expect on a German restaurant menu is here and tasty. I had some of the schnitzel and would highly recommend it. As you would also expect there are number of beers on tap to... More

Good Bavarian food, and tons of great Beer on tap. Try the snitzel. Nice old school Bavarian Decor adds to the experience.

Met friends from work for lunch. Great food and solid service. Food is always good there and affordable. You can get in and out quickly if you like or you can make it last for a while and will not be pressured to hurry and finish.
