Great people like Deb and Rose. After you have came a few times the know you by name. The food is great. I love Saturdays for the prime rib. The Rib Eye steak is good but the chicken will knock you out of your chair. But you need to call it is all ways packed. And did I say Rose... More

Years ago, this place was tops. Great food and service. Sadly, those days are gone. The food was marginal (I had fried chicken) altho not cheap. It started with an unfresh salad. A small bowl of iceberg lettuce with a couple chunks of tomato on top. Then the appetizer arrived. Which was pretty good, but not amazing. Fried green beans... More

First time visit to the tavern. Found it through Trip Advisor We went twice for lunch during our 4 days in Evansville. The ribeye sandwiches and the burgers were very good and very reasonable. The peanut butter pie was delicious. One waitress handled all of the tables and the service was great. Beautiful drive through the cornfields to get there.... More

Been here a few times. It is a hole in the wall but well worth the time to find. Value is great. Food is nothing special but that is part of the appeal. At lunch the place is packed. The specials are very popular.

Visited Hornville Tavern for first time in almost 3 years. The food was as delicious as we remembered it but the tavern was so busy the service was lacking. On entering every vacant table had a Reserved sign so we sat at bar. Immediately a server came to seat us at a table. Very nice! The waitress had to be... More

Hornville Tavern is a bit out in the country, and is mostly surrounded by corn/bean fields, but it is well worth the trip. Charming local atmosphere, reasonable prices, and good food makes it a winner. There are several "similar" local restaurants located on the north side of Evansville, and Hornville is easily my favorite.

There's nothing fancy about this place; it's very casual but the food is great. Our food was served promptly and we were surprised the portion size was so large with such a reasonable price. We were going to get dessert because of all the rave reviews, but it took the waitress 45 mins to come to our table after we... More

A group of friends and I eat at Hornville every few weeks and normally on our wed night mens night. I have got the Fried Chicken and the Smoked Chicken and both are great and very cheap for what you get. I got a half a fried chicken (4Pieces) baked potato, green beans and a slice of beer bread.
