New years eve party of 8

This made our 2nd year of having dinner at the Hornville Tavern on NYE. Both times we made rsvp in advance and were seated shortly after arriving. Our waitress was polite and took good care of us. Appetizers and salads came to us fairly quickly. Did a have a little bit of a wait for our entrees but... read more

Went the day before thanksgiving for dinner and music. We had a great time. The smoked chicken special was great, I recommend and the price is fair. Several people got salads and chili, which was not as good. The music in the back was good. Fun night out with friends.

Step back in time at this former stagecoach stop, dance hall, and setting for the movie "A League of Their Own". The smoked chicken and German potato salad are to die for. Fried chicken is just so so but don't leave without trying the beer bread with your meal. Very unusual but excellent flavor.

Very good food. The smoked chicken on Wednesday is the best around. Server can be rude, and sometimes if you are not a regular, the service is very poor. If you are a regular, they treat you great, if not, your service is going to suck!!!

This was our first time here. We came on a Saturday night at 5. We were the only ones in the family room and sat there almost 10 minutes before anyone noticed us. The waitress took our drink order and went away. Did not ask if we wanted apps. She brought our drinks and then went away and we kept... More

Very good out of the way place. We were in from out of town and always eat at a trip advisor recommended restaurant. Well worth the drive.

Came out with friends on our last visit. Food is always great. Steaks, burgers, pork chops....you name it, well done here. Nice quiet getaway place. Worth the drive and time.

Went here to check it out for rehearsal dinner. Very nice people and place was very busy. Food was good, nothing special about decor, but overall decent place to eat that is not a chain restaurant. The German potato salad was delicious !!

We had the fried chicken and the pork chop (for which they are "famous") and they were both decent. However, the pork chop was a huge disappointment from what I was expecting. I had eaten there about 20 years ago and the thick, smoked pork chop was nothing short of amazing. This time it was on the dry side and... More

Our family is on a trip to Florida, and we picked the Hornville Tavern for lunch. It's a pretty interesting drive, because your way out in the country. I would suggest making sure you have a Garmin or some sort of GPS to help you get there. Very cool looking Tavern, wonderful food, great lunch specials. Service was great and... More
