Absolutely fantastic meal and great service. Went there with 7 other friends and family. The food was served hot, plenty of it, and was just as good as the first time we visited last year. Highly suggest you visiting this place if you are in the area. I had the Ham Steak, my wife had the Chicken, we shared and... More

You've never had fried chicken like they serve at Log Inn. A local favorite for years. Great for large parties. Make reservations though- you'll still have a bit of a wait since the line to get in usually goes out the door. Their pie is a must too!

The Log Inn has some of the best fried chicken and ham steaks in the area. They serve family style so you can as much of the sides as you want. The prices are very reasonable for the great food you get. Service is great too.

THEY DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS. This is frustrating because they are in a rural location. They do offer an ATM in the lobby with a fee that I consider predatory ($6, if I remember right). Honestly, that left a sour taste in my mouth. The Log Inn's history is great. The food is served family style. The vegetables are sweetened,... More

Unlimited potatoes, corn, slaw, peas and much much more with your choice of meat. They keep the table FULL! But you must save room for some peanut butter pie. Or you could always do what I do, get your dessert in a to go box. I can't leave this place without my pie! We always have big family gatherings here... More

It was the history that drew us to The Log Inn. Abraham Lincoln was there in 1844 during a campaign tour when The Log Inn was one of the main stage coach stops between Evansville and Vincennes. The Log Inn is a restored log cabin that has had several owners and rooms added on over the decades. We were surprised... More

Went to the Log Inn for a friend's graduation and our waitress was wonderful. I got the fried chicken, which was fairly good. The sides were nothing to brag about and I am usually all about sides. Overall not a bad place to check out, especially for a large party... but don't set your expectations too high.

Be sure to visit the Lincoln room, and yes he ate there. This is the oldest restaurant in Indiana. Now to the food. The best fried chicken you will ever have and the pies are all homemade and well as good or better than moms

The food here is always great! The best fried chicken ever. Family style is the way to go with country style vegetables and fresh, crisp, slaw. The waitresses have all worked here for years and are very efficient. The portions are large and we always have food to take home. It's always packed so come early or be prepared to... More
