THE LOG INN Great Break after a day's drive and a delightful unexpected find! Just kinda lucked into the place from a road sigh near motel - wish they had told us about it but that is another review. First Impression was not great - just an old bldg since we came from the back side parking lot... read more

The restaurant is family style and great service and food. This is the oldest restaurant in Indiana and President Lincoln really was there. Great place and my wife and I highly recommend

You have to stop and eat or have a drink here - antiques galore - eat in the room Abe Lincoln ate in!

Our whole family met for a reunion dinner. If you have 10 or more people, you can make a reservation. You can order chicken, ham, pork, or beef as your main entrée; then family style for mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, corn, cole slaw, etc. After dinner, be sure to order one of their delicious homemade pies. Great food and... More

We've eaten here many times over the years and it is always a treat! The fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy are amazing! This restaurant is very historical and the building has a lot of interesting things to look at while you're waiting. The best time to go is on a weeknight. If you go on a Saturday, be prepared... It was very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious. We had a bus tour of 55,they put us all in one room. The logs were something else,so big. The waitresses were very friendly and served us right away. Refills came often or you could ask for more.

Had not been in years but was not disappointed. Greatest fried chicken and chicken livers in the area. We chose family style but added german fries. It was great and our waitress stayed on top of everything. Just know that they don't take plastic.

We had a family group of 18 on a Saturday. We made reservations and were seated quickly. The waitress was prompt in taking drink and meat orders. When the food arrived it was served promptly and replenished often since it is family style. After that she got busy with another group and never offered dessert. Then we had to wait... More

This restaurant is old, Abraham Lincoln, apparently ate there on the Stage Coach Trail, We noticed that you could make reservations, this is a very rural area, you would never Dream that you would need a reservation. We drove to the restaurant a short distance from our Hotel, we went around a curve in a residential area it looked like... More
