The place for country-style cuisine

This historic place, built in 1825, is the place if you're craving for country-style fried chicken, catfish, country ham, roast beef, etc. plus large platters of corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, and slaw. What a feast!

This is an excellent family style restaurant. You order your meat and then they bring out the sides family style. The sides continue to come out until you are finished. I wish I had saved room for the delicious looking desserts. The price was very good for all the food you got.

The are best known for fried chicken but I think they have the best catfish filet that I have ever had! They don't offer catfish on sat because they need all fryers for fried chicken. They are known for president Lincoln visiting. Family owned!

Be ready to wait a bit but it was worth it. Also, bring cash. No debit or credit. They do have an ATM but you have to find it through the crowd of people. The fried chicken was excellent. Everything else was basic but good. Would definitely recommend just for the chicken and a little history too

I have eaten here several times and the food is always outstanding. The service is excellent. and priced is fair. The atmosphere is pleasing as it was an old stagecoach stop in the late 1800's. A must stop if traveling in SW Indiana.

Servers do great job handling large groups. Some entees are tasty, suchas fried chicken or grilled ham. Some entees are to be avoided such as heat and eat roast beef. Many of the side dishes are canned or instant and lack homestyle flavor. The Log Inn is not a deal or a place I like to dine, The quality of... More

I love this place. I have never had a bad meal here. I love their French dressing. For their salads. I think that every cut of meat has a different flavor. I personally love the Ribeye. Everyone that we have come into contact with has been very friendly and helpful.

This Indiana's oldest restaurant. It was a stopping point for stage coaches going to St Louis, Chicago or other places. According to them Abraham Lincoln dined there. The decor is of a colonial time cabin with squeaky floors and old pictures on the wall. The food is.good, typical home cooking and the pies are delucious. Only thing I don't like... More

Wow this place is Fabulous and the food is excellent. It is always crowded so my husband and I feel like we have to get there right at 4 PM when the restaurant opens up for the evening. The fried chicken is out of this world and the ham is juicy and so very tender. All the food is served... More
