Unfortunantly we had the Log Inn cater our wedding and I must say after trying to get ahold of them 4 times and getting the run around from the "owner" I almost didn't use them. I wish I didn't. The food was crap to say the least. The chicken looked and tasted OLD, the gravy was good but that was... more

We found this place on our AAA recommendations. It got four diamonds, so we thought we'd give it a try. To be honest, at first glance the place is a bit...lacking. The original structure is hidden under very modern vinyl siding-- looks kinda like a truck stop out in the middle of nowhere. But! Inside! Oh my! The original logs,... more

Four of us ordered 'family style' with 3 different meats: fried chicken (quite good!), salty ham slices and processed/canned roast beef swimming in gravy with a good dose of sodium. Our sides were canned corn, canned green beans, vinegar slaw (not bad), and white dinner rolls. Having traveled over 50 miles to experience this historic restaurant, we feel that we've... more

Not worth the money--go ANYWHERE else! I have been here several years ago and remembered the food being a good value for the price, but that obviously has changed. I was with a date and we ordered different meats so we could have a small variety. My fried chicken was excellent, but the entire rest of the meal was out... more

Great fried chicken! To- die-for mashed potatoes, slaw, etc. You can't miss this historic place. The service is always great, and quick. You may have to wait a bit for a table unless you get there early. This is our favorite family/special occasion place. more

While visiting family we went to the Log Inn. My wife had been there before and said the food was good. The building itself was amazing. Loved the old wood. The FOOD was TERRIBLE. They are definately not in the cooking business. If you want food that is from a can and instant then this is your place. I would... more

I have lived in Evansville for 43 years but have only been to the Log Inn once - last weekend. It's one of those places in your backyard that you just take for granted. Our family decided to try it and see what all the fuss was about. We called first, to make sure we didn't need reservations. We were... more

Great food and atmosphere. The Log Inn is an old fashioned family-style restaurant that allows you to go back into the 1800's for an hour or so. The food is great and all made from scratch. It is located in an old stagecoach stop/inn just north of I-64 (Evansville, IN). The facility still shows the original wood and mortar structure... more
