One of Evansville's hidden gems! Voted #1 Coffee Shop by USA Today / Rand McNally! We specialize in organic/vegan food, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, great coffee and treats but have a little bit of something for everyone. From hot to cold, frozen to warm... we have drinks for everyone.Don't be surprised if you see a bunch of people smiling, someone behind the counter dancing (or attempting to do some type of movement to the classic rock, jazz and occasionally old school hip hop) while making drinks. This is a place to stop and smell the coffee, take a little bit of time with friends and get away from the hustle and bustle... a place to check life's worries and stresses at the door and just sit back, relax and breathe.

Might be the best cup of coffee in town.

I stopped in late in the afternoon not even knowing if they would be open, to my surprise I was welcomed at the door by a most pleasent young lady. She rang up my purchase and pointed me to the selections. I only had black coffee, but in this town it seems very difficult to find a good cup of... read more

My wife and I were greeted by Meghan and Becka as soon as we entered, both made us feel welcomed. We loved the abeyance along with the relaxed atmosphere. Penny Lane offers a really nice selection of drinks (hot and cold) sandwiches and desserts, all for a very low price. We ordered a chia latte(large) and a specialty drink (reeses... More

Nothing extra spectacular here other than I keep wanting to come back, and come back here more often. A really neat place for coffee and a pastry!

Its true, its a very cool hangout spot. Im new in town and went alone today, was a little weary because the area looked pretty quiet and not many people out, so I was worried that I was going to a den hole. But as soon as I stepped in there was a lovely bunch of people, mums, kids, students... More

We'll start with the good, it's an awesome building and a really cool atmosphere. We went there because we had a gift certificate from a hotel stay in the area. I will freely admit that we are not coffee drinkers, at all, so I can't give a decent coffee review. We should have stuck with hot chocolate. We ordered 2... More

Just recently developed a liking for coffee. Iced coffee that is. I got an iced version of what I believe they call the tiny dancer. It was delicious!! I love all the artwork of local artists posted on the walls as well.

I go here as an alternative to Starbucks. The atmosphere is far more charming; snobs will find it too casual for their liking. Couches, used books, old television programs on the television, jigsaw puzzles on one of the tables... If you want your uber-sterile atmosphere, go to Starbucks...this is a place to get comfortable in. For the most part, Penny... More

This is a great place to pop in and get some work done, or just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. There is always local art hanging from the walls, vegan, vegetarian, and meat items on the menu, and the furniture and walls are decorated brightly. Free wifi, and yummy espresso drinks. The food can be hit or miss, but the... More

Traveling through town and it happened to be lunch-time. Traveling with the family, we were looking for something casual that would hopefully have a good cup of coffee as well. The food wasn't bad, but the vibe was pretty cool. Not a bad random stop.

This is a great place to get a sense of the "real" Evansville (not the fast-food scene). We had very good coffee and breakfast sandwiches here, loved the atmosphere, and appreciated the friendly, personable barista. Will definitely return when in town.
