Beef House Dinner Theatre

My wife and I went to the Beef House for their Dinner Theatre on Sunday, July 26th. To be honest, the food was ok, but not spectacular or stellar in any way. It was served buffet style and the servers, who are also in the play were excellent. The rolls ARE exceptionally good and I could have... read more

Had rib eye with mushrooms and it was very good. Place looks and smells the same from when I was a kid. Rolls are good to. Not the greatest modern steakhouse I've been to but good for Covington/Danville area. Unfortunately waitress was absolutely rude, overwhelmed and terrible. Drink refills went 15 minutes empty.. No Good!

Family road trip and I wanted to eat nice, as opposed to fast food. The waitress was super nice. The rolls were really good. The salad bar is lacking. A few vegetables and tons of mayonnaise based salads. Yuck. Salad means vegetables not potato salad not macaroni salad not beans slathered in mayo salad. Gross who eats like that? It's... More

Business traveler expecting good meal at steak house which was rated the best in Indiana (What year?). The restaurant was a throwback to the 1960s. I live near a family restaurant from this era with a similar menu in Ohio, The prices are reasonable at the Ohio restaurant (~60% of these menu prices), the food is much better and it... More

We had lunch at the Beef House Our food was really good the salad bar had many items and every thing looked so fresh. The Steak was cooked the way my son wanted it. Everything was so good. The yeast rolls are so good they also have a honey butter & apple butter for the rolls. They have really good... More

Had a chance to stop by the Beef House on my way to Danville, IL. They have been around since 1964 and the food is great. The freshly baked rolls are a meal in themselves. The buffet is a great deal for lunch. Save room for their pies. I will be sure to stop by there more often. Close to... More

Go for the Sunday Specials! More food than one can eat. VERY fresh salad bar - not extensive, but that is not why you came to the Beef House! Roast Beef dinner with salad, sides and dessert was about $18 and overwhelmed the plates. Go VERY hungry. Beef was very good, Potatoes excellent, veggies and sides fine. We didn't get... More

After a variety of roadhouses during our cross-country road-trip, we decided on "Finer" Dining and chose the Beef House. Although we had a reservation, the restaurant was not crowded. Service was not particularly personal, but adequate. The rib eye was very good quality, but no better than I had enjoyed at Texas Roadhouse or Logans. The Caesar Salad was good,... More

We stopped here on our way back from Indianapolis, traveling to Champaign, Illinois. We made reservations, but this was not necessary because this is a very large place and people were being seated after waiting in line for 5-10 minutes at about 7 pm on a Friday night, when one would have expected a large number of people. Three of... More

I've eaten here twice, both times the food, outstanding . The yeast rolls with strawberry preserves are fantastic. Everyone in the group enjoyed the salad bar. (delicious croutons) would like to see cottage cheese on the salad bar. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was sooooo good. The fresh made yeast bun put it over the top. I've never tried... More
