Rotating over a 100 flavors of hand dipped ice cream, Emery's Premium Ice Cream has been an American tradition since the 50's. Emery's began during the great depression as a family business, tucked away in a residential neighborhood of New Albany, Indiana. Kevin Paul, owner of Alvin's Enterprises' purchased the memorabilia and equipment from the original Emery's store and ... Has recreated the atmosphere of the old-fashioned ice cream shop. Visiting Emery's today evokes the feeling of traveling back in time to the era in which Emery's originated. And it should; not much has changed aside from its new location in Corydon, Indiana. The bar stools, counter, vintage posters art, and most importantly the ice cream bins and soda fountains are all from Emery's original location. You can enjoy the same favorite Emery's homemade flavors that were enjoyed years ago. Visit Emery's today and discover why it has been a favorite for over 60 years!

Great,Charming place

My wife and son loved there Ice Cream. I didn't eat anything, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly, he was talking to everyone, I think he acknowledged everyone who walked through the door.

What is THIS place???  WAIT!  DON’T leave Corydon without a visit to this “shoppe”!  On the outside, Emery’s Ice Cream is an ADORABLE and charming place, clean and definitely small-town with its covered porch and good old-fashioned signage!  (And not the kind of commercially made sign that reeks of tourism!)  The bright colors and distinctive walks are reminiscent of simpler... I kept seeing rave reviews of this #1 rated ice cream shop. So my wife and I went to see how it is for ourselves. Well the place was crowded when we went. But the wait to be served wasn't too long. The ice cream was delicious! They have a lot of varieties including seasonal flavors. The gentleman serving behind... More

Great ice cream and kids loved picking out candy to take home. The only downside is they only accept cash. May have changed by now

Highly recommend stopping here for a quick treat, especially on a hot day. This was a great afternoon stop, service was excellent, and the shop itself was charming. Very yummy!

I was on a vacation with my husband and we had finished our dinner out and I wanted chocolate.... I also felt hot so I wanted ice cream. I asked the owner of the restaurant where I could find chocolate and ice cream and he recommended Emery's Ice Cream and told us where it was. We found it but they... More

Worth the short drive into Corydon from the interstate. Great ice cream and friendly staff. We learned a lot about all of the historical sites in the area from the staff.
